I bought the Beeman Silver Bear 1783 gun for $57 at Walmart. It seemed like a decent choice since the Powerline 1000S was $94 and the Gamo Shadow was $124. Of course it doesn't have the power that the other guns do (500fps vs 1000fps), but it also doesn't require as much power to cock it. After read ...

The Beeman Silver Bear 1783 is undoubtedly the funnest plinker I have ever owned, I have a Daisy Powerline 1000 and a Beeman R9, But those arent for the back yard. I usually shoot my Gamo and Benjamin pistols there but wanted a backyard plinker. I have to say I pleased with this little carbine, espe ...

Beeman Silver Bear 1783 - Of course with this gun being a springer you had the "twang" when fired. It did seam excessive for this guns low power. The scope shipped almost on target, it was only 2 inches down and right at 30 yards. After 2 adjustments i could put 1 large hole in the bullseye with 5 p ...

I bought a Beeman Silver Bear 1783 for my sons birthday.
Graduated him from the Daisy Red Ryder he outgrew along time ago. Even though this gun would be considered a youth gun, I think I like shooting it more than he does. It is exteremly accurate after you get use to the trigger, but I think this ...

The Beeman Silver Bear 1783 is an excellent first pellet gun. As accurate and easy to handle as it gets for the price.

The Beeman gun is good but its nothing compared to the Daisy Powerline 1000S, if you are planning on buying the Beeman and then buying a 30 dollar Powerline scope, like most of the other people in these reviews the Beeman would then cost 90 dollars at 500 fps. Go to Walmart buy the Powerline 1000S f ...

The Beeman Silver Bear 1783 was my first pellet gun. I did replace the included scope with the Powerline 3-9x32 scope: $30.00 bucks at Wal-Mart.
Once I had this scope set, the gun was extremely accurate with Daisy hunting pellets. I could make the pellets butt up against each other at 30 feet!! ...

When I bought the silver bear rifle it was a little hard to get used to the automatic safety, but the rest was fine to get used to.it is very accurate, but lacks on stopping power because it is a pellet gun. It comes with a great scope and is better than quite a few. When you take the gun out of the ...

I purchased this rifle for my seven year old son. I replaced the scope with a $30 Daisy 3-9X 32 and now have the best air rifle that $90 total will buy. This rifle is so much fun to shoot. It's very light, easy to cock and hits what you aim it at. True it is limited in power, but air guns are al ...
