“Completely useless hosting”

Completely useless hosting: -You can't install free "Let's Encrypt" SSL certificate; you have to buy certificate from them. Prices: from £72 to £480 per year. -You have to pay extra, if you want send email by Thunderbird for example: SMTP authentication £21 per year. -vTiger is not working at all - you will be logged out all the time. -Preinstalled SuiteCRM is not working. You can't send emails from the CRM. Error:SMTP connect() failed. I have this hosting just few days, so probably many more problems.

“Poor Customer Service Sales Management”

Namesco will double the price of your starter hosting when you come to renew. When you call the sales team you will be given a very insulting "well that's inflation" answer. You will be informed during many phone calls with sales that "only a senior manager" can resolve this issue for you. I have repeatedly requested a call back, over several weeks, from the manager, who I will not name, to resolve this issue . no call back has happened. I have looked at my enquiry history and noticed that my issue has been mysteriously Closed ?? !! Leaving you in a situation of paying the "inflated" price or having your website deactivated

“excellent service”

Rang today, long wait but it was worth it. I have transferred from Demon and wasn't getting any mail. He answereed and was so patient and clear helping me sort everyting out. Call centres get such a bad press that I always like to record when things have gone real well. Poor set up on the form. I clicked in the value for money column to enter "Not applicable" but got loads of stars which you can't delete. With poor eyesight, I couldn't see the grey outlines and thought it was anothyer text box. It would be tempting to leave one star "Terrible" as a reference to the form properties but I guess the database won't recognize that so I've left it set on the middle star

“Answers to mail problem”

Operator solved a long standing problem after 2 years of problems. Not sure why it should take that long for customer tech support to identify this simple task. Ultimately it was a communication problem between all the other techies and myself, but 2 years?? Operator handled it calmly and clearly, and eventually we stumbled across the answer.

“Problem solving”

Namesco's Design Team are completely rebuilding my website. Getting to see the first preview was proving to be tricky, so I phoned Customer Support. The 'problem', if one could call it that, was solved in seconds in a most friendly manner. I can now view my shiny, new website, make corrections, additions & comments & email everything back to the Design Team for them to work their magic. I would unhesitatingly recommend Namesco to expert or beginner. They will both be equally catered for.

“Astonishingly Bad”

This company has the worst customer service & virtually non-existent technical support. If you are thinking is using them to host a business service that you rely on, then look elsewhere. It's impossible to get a response online & they make it almost impossible for you to speak to anyone (let alone resolve an issue) over the phone. They found it quite acceptable to leave our business offline for up to 48 hours after a mistake they had made transferring our host package. In this time we have no online sales, no bookings no support to our customers (who we actually care about). Honestly can't believe this business is still trading! Only hope that by posting reviews that we save other people from the stress of dealing with this astonishingly bad provider.

“Disgusting Company. Solicitor Now Involved!”

I don't normally post reviews on companies but oh boy after my experience with this pathetic company I just had to make other people aware. Several days ago I purchased a single domain from names.co.uk and since the word go I've been unable to log in to my control panel so I can update the nameservers to point the domain to my hosting. My login email was changed to a domain that doesn't even belong to me for whatever reason so I can not recover my password. I contacted them to resolve it and the amount of excuses I got was ridiculous. They asked me to phone up an 0345 number while I'm at work so I can access my account and put you on hold which I don't have time for and you have to pay for this privilege. Why should I have to phone to access my control panel is beyond me when I've given them all my details... because they try and sell me services I don't even want!! This was just the start of it. It got a lot worse from there. I complained again about the above and told them I was at work and didn't have time but the response I got was please call us... AGAIN! Seriously is this place run by a bunch of planks or what? They got me so mad with their responses I just told them to either sort my account so I can transfer my domain elsewhere or refund me so I can register the domain elsewhere and to put it in words, they are basically saying NO. I've contacted them again for the umpteenth time and they are just fobbing me off and not replying. So they have my money and my domain and ran off with them both. The domain I registered means a lot to me but now I can't have it as they've pretty much taken it and not giving me any option to get it back so I now have to wait over a year before I can even claim my domain name back but even then most likely won't be possible because I cannot access my account and the domain is on auto renew so they will be taking my money and domain the following year most likely. I really wish I read the bad reviews before I purchased a domain as everything people are saying is exactly what I am experiencing. I also found out that after the year, they will charge you £20 to renew a .co.uk domain!! How on earth is that possible when other places are a few quid? Oh and if you want to access email on your mobile, you have to pay for that too. They need to be stopped. They have a number of company domain names my solicitor informed me: And I've also been informed that they are in breach of the following acts: PRICES ACT 1974 and 1975 TRADE DESCRIPTIONS ACT 1968 MISREPRESENTATION ACT 1967 SALE OF GOODS ACT 1979 SALE AND SUPPLY OF GOODS 1994 SALE OF GOODS (AMENDMENT) ACT 1995 SUPPLY OF GOODS AND SERVICES ACT 1982 UNFAIR CONTRACT TERMS ACT 1977 These guys are just awful and don't know what's coming there way.

“Rip off merchants”

First, their prices are way off market prices once the initial off expires. They will charge you 20 pounds extra to be able to send emails which they don't tell you about when they offer email as part of the package. If you need to transfer your domains, they will charge you 12 pounds to send you an email with the authorisation code for each domain(rip off). The tools are non existent. The control panel is non intuitive and complex. Pretty much the whole site is geared towards trying to sell you more stuff. I moved to a different hosting provider and then realised what a crappy service I was getting.

“ignore support tickets”

so ordered a domain, got asked to verify email address ( ICANN request) after 12 hrs and 2 resend requests i f#get the email to verify email address, do this, but still names.co.uk say i have to verify my email before i can get access to domain. after several messages and another 12 hrs they reply saying they will refund me, but still they have not cancelled the domain, so i cannot go get this from another company and so far they are just ignoring me by support ticket , twitter or facebook, yet they are monitoring their facebook page as it did say Typically replies within an hour' but they changed this to Typically replies within a day' after i messaged them, but not replied to me. so I recommend YOU DO NOT use the company or any Nameco/DADA brand

“Absolutely Pathetic - Beware”

Signed up for an annual contract, but Namesco were unable to support our needs. So asked for a refund 3 days after signing up, and was offered a 20% refund based on their Terms & Conditions. Tried to call but gave up after holding 25 minutes. Very unprofessional setup, to say the least. No regards for statutory consumer rights under UK law either. Will pursue Trading Standards and my credit card provider for a refund, but save yourself the hassle and try someone else.

“Cloudsite Web Editor - Not user friendly”

Bought website to promote an online business but found the Cloudsite web editor to be very cumbersome. Emailed support looking for help and after 4 days was told that I could not do what I wanted which was to place one image overlapping onto another. I then emailed with a different option but again was told that this was not possible. At the end of this I decided to go with another provider and as I had not published the site or used the domain asked for a refund but was refused. I thought that as it was only about 3 weeks since paying for the service I would have been able to get a refund.

This particular support team member was very helpful and patient with me. I'm a complete novice to all this but he bared with me and explained and helped and even logged into my site backend so he can put the required information in to get my site live. He fixed my emails as well and now I feel great because everything that was frustrating me this morning is fixed. Thanks! He was also very polite and didn't make me feel like a fool for not understanding anything.

“Kickstarter”

I've been keen to align my business's namesco webmail account with Outlook and decided to invest in the Kickstarter product offered by namesco. The process was very smooth and efficient. It cost c.£30 and for that I had the dedicated support of the Kickstarter agent for over 30 minutes (up to an hour if needed). 2 devices (lap top and iphone) were aligned and both tested before the call was finished. All seems to be working fine now. The person who assisted me was knowledgeable, courteous and clearly keen to ensure that my issue was resolved before concluding the call. I had booked the call for 11am and given my landline no. as the primary contact. Unfortunately I was already on a call at 11am. On phoning namesco at the first opportunity, they arranged for the Kickstarter engineer to call me back within 10 minutes, which he did. Very happy with the service provided and worth the money spent to get things sorted out quickly and efficiently so I can get on with the main business of the day!

However, I was finally put through to Eddie Rushmoor who I can't thank enough for taking ownership of the issue and resolving it in a calm and professional manner that returned my positivity towards namesco. He was our nominated "knight in shining armour" on the day.
