Just bought a new Acer laptop (Acer Aspire 5014WLMi) from Laptops Direct (www.Laptopsdirect.co.uk). Good prices, quick delivery and you can actually get through on the phone. Restored my faith in online buying.

Laptops Direct sold me a power adapter which is not compatible with the computer. They'll talk to you about sales but the service department is really, really bad. I would rather pay extra and buy from a reliable company.

I bought a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo A1630 from Laptops Direct (www.laptopsdirect.co.uk). I was oringally messed around by another company who falsely claimed they had stock. But LaptopsDirect.co.uk kept me informed and only processed my payment on the day the goods were despatched. Excellent service.

The Laptop (ACER Aspire 1382WLMI) worked fine during 2-3 days. Then I got some trouble with the keyboard. If you buy a system from Laptops Direct people and then have a problem with it, you have a serious problem. I've been waiting for a faulty laptop to be repaired for over 2 months, with not even a call to let me on the progress. In fact even getting through to them has been hard enough.

I bought a Sony Vaio laptop from Laptops Direct. They seem to offer what many webshops fail to do- Knowledgeable sales staff and Prices. The sales staff were helpful, their prices were right and the goods arrived on time. I would thoroughly recommend them.
