I like Autotrader. they're a brilliant site to buy and sell cars. I sold my old Audi on Auto Trader a while back and have nothing but praise for them. The website layout is good and design is nice too. I often log onto www.autotrader.co.uk just for a look around even though I'm not after a new car at the moment. The do car reviews too which is always good. I'm a regular site user and can't say anything bad about Autotrader… Read Full Review

Autotrader is beyond doubt THE number one website in the UK for buying or selling vehicles of all types, you can purchase anything from a digger to a Ducati.
Exchange and Mart used to be almost level pegging with Auto Trader but it lost its way a few years ago, with an over complicated website. I also used eBay for a while but got fed up with time wasters phoning me with stupid low offers when selling, and dishonest sellers posting a description of the car which was a work of fiction… Read Full Review

Not very user friendly and very expensive. It seems the web only option for cars is no longer available.
Autotrader messed up my removal when the car sold, which meant I kept getting calls.
Paid for 2 weeks in the magazine, and although it was only in for one week they refused to make any refund… Read Full Review

I have sold 2 cars on the Auto trader UK site. I have noticed that the price had gone up quite a bit in the interim period, now 15.99 for 2 weeks. However, the site has worked very well for me, selling both cars within a few days of advertising, although they were the sort of cars that go quite quickly (Alfa GTV & Accord Type-R). I have also bought my last 2 cars on the site (the Honda & a Boxster S) and it has all worked out very well.
The site is well set out and easy to use… Read Full Review

My car went in the wrong section. Ad was a double spacer with 1 week and cost nearly 50.00.
When I phoned Autotrader UK they told me it was my mistake and wouldn't even offer an extra week in the right section at a discount. The staff were unhelpful and RUDE!
I will only use local advertising from now on. OR ebay!… Read Full Review

I have already written a report at the beginning of the year on Auto Trader UK, however during the last 3 weeks my work mate and I have both been trying to sell cars, myself a Mazda MX5 and my mate a Audi A4.
We have both had the same problem and that is the continual email's from people who want to purchase the car but want to have a shipper involved in the payment. This is a scam to leave you with your car and at the same time to extract monies from you.
The site itself is a great way to… Read Full Review

I have been using Autotrader for the last 11 years to both buy and sell cars and bikes as I get very bored of my vehicle's very fast and need a change.
The last car I sold using Autotrader was a 1997 BMW 520i SE at the beginning of May 2006. It had done 207,000 miles but I still managed to sell it to a car dealer for 1300 (he was the 2nd guy to respond to the add on the Thursday the Trader came out). This was the 5th car I had sold using Autotrader and apart from the odd time waster it gets… Read Full Review

I am in charge of a small fleet of cars which has diminished in size since the emission rulings and charges have been in force. I was asked to sell a small Nissan Micra (auto) owned by our owners ageing mother that can no longer drive due to her health. I decided to sell it on Auto Trader on line. The process of setting the car up on this website could not have been more simple than it was, The step by step guidance was excellent and the overall experiance of doing this gave me great confidence… Read Full Review

Autotrader is a full car magazine aimed at selling your car. It's supposed to be easy to create an advert, easy to sell your car, and distribute to loads of people. This may well be true, but in my experience trying 2 cars and a van through this magazine, I have found that they can be very hit and miss. Adverts sometimes go in wrong, or pictures get mixed up and the company seems to have a confused customer services centre that takes ages to call you back. They are not over-willing to admit… Read Full Review

I recently used the Auto trader website to buy my Peugeot 206. I was very happy as the website is easy to navigate, and I quickly found the best car for me. The search tools allow you to find all cars of your designated make and model with in a set distance of your address (using your post code). Then you simply click the link to email the seller and do the business.
They have got all major cars listed from Ferraris to fiestas, it feels like a guide to ever car on sale in the country at… Read Full Review
