“Business practices should be investigated”

Changing policy as they please meaning customers have the terms of their contract changed without notification. Charging £15 to take a domain away from their service preventing fair competition. Limiting email to 150 emails per hour while advertising unlimited email addresses (that will work). Customer services don't answer your questions, they just quote company policy; the true mark of dishonesty. I dare say a lot of these companies do the same, seems the greedy brigade have taken over. “poor regard for customer”

Was with DF for a few years then retired so handed web site to new guy who moved it to a different company. I wrote and told them and asked them to cancel everything. However one year later they still took money. They said I didn't cancel correctly as per T&C. When I asked for my money back expained I was now a pensioner and could ill afford the money and that none of their services had been used for 12 months they said no way. I am sorry you feel that we have let you down. However Invoice notices were sent to notify you of an upcoming renewal to which no action was taken, and thus the account was renewed.

As there is data on the account, which belongs to the client, we are not able to 'assume' this is no longer needed or wanted, and thus we cannot delete an account.

An account can be cancelled at any time in your client area, which would 'immediately' remove your account, and the due invoice. As you had not cancelled the account, it was then re billed.

This has been the same method of billing every year you have been with us, which was not a problem in past billing periods.

Totally agree, poor regard for the customer full stop. I am sure they are breaking the law but not being a solicitor I wouldn't know.

I've been a Dataflame customer for several years and found its strength is always its technical support. Emails have always been promptly answered with a helpful and constructive response and the online chat is excellent. I've been with dataflame for a couple of years and never had any issues with downtime, unlike other hosting companies I've tried (including paying 4 times as much for a VPS). Both my wife and I use Dataflame hosting and domain registration services for our businesses. Their service is THE BEST!!! Technical support is 24/7 in any day of the year. There have never been issues with it, however I recently needed some specialised software installed on the server and was unable to do this myself, as it required root access to the server.
