I really wanted to write a good review for Dataflame. Tell you that they were great getting things set up, helping me out with activating accounts. Transferring databases and information from one account to another. They were great for that, and was impressed.
That lasted about 3 months. Then my server slowed up, bandwidth issues. Then emails stopped working, sometimes for 2 days.

Nothing but issues with the server being unavailible (dedicated server) - support are extremely poor spent 50 mins on the live support waiting for a response only to be told we are still investigating
fine if you want a home site that does not need 24/7 uptime, i accept sometimes things go wrong but £200 a month for a extremely poor service is not accetable IMHO

I was happy when I first used them, but they have gone way down hill since then.
Support is rubbish. They simply stop responding to support requests when they feel like it.
Terribly slow servers. They blamed my ISP for slow page loading times! Seriously insulting to my intelligence to be told that BS!

I have spent literally hours this weekend trying to get the message ACCOUNT SUSPENDED from our website. Dataflame have our payment details, and they are clearly correct on the client portal. However they havent processed the agreement details correctly at their end, there is plenty headroom on our card and that was confirmed by the bank and despite having spoken to Dataflame on the hopeless live support AND on the telephone. I would like to inform people not to use this rude and ignorant company, The sign up process was smooth and on receiving ssh log in details I found I was unable to ssh in, shortly after I received an abuse report from dataflame telling me I was trying to brute force my way into other people's servers!
So in short the sold me a pre-compromised VPS then blamed me that a server I had no access to was trying to ssh its way into other servers.

We have been with Dataflame for about 3 years now, and have been very pleased with the level of support that has been given.
We have a number of sites that have had no problems.
It is vital for our business website to be available 100% of the time, to which this has been met.

I migrated to Dataflame in Oct 09 after reading good reviews on the web (must have missed this site).
I have had problem after problem with them and there technical support is useless. I took them 2hrs to understand the you get a delivery failure if you email a hosted account...
Their prices and products are good, but its not worth it. Don't go with dataflame.

I have been with dataflame for seven years and up until the last 24 months I always thought they were great. Little down time and ok on support. NOW my mind has been changed! I hope they go out of business as fast as possible. You would be better off throwing your money out the window and banging your head on the wall than wait for their response and dealing with their business practices. Beware of signing up with Dataflame because getting out is costly, also their technical support is appalling.
Their online technical support usually consists of responses taken from a manual. They are unable to solve any problems not in their manual. In one case our website had been attacked with a virus, which meant that the site was blocked by Google Chrome. I had real problems with this company. I was desperate for a UK hosting company so i decided to give Dataflame a go. I signed up, paid my money, and from that second on - nothing but problems. Had to 'upgrade' just to get access to a MySql database - so i could have a blog - Even though they have Fantastico.
After upgrading and paying more , things just kept going wrong, from rude and none existant customer service, to nobody answering the phone.

Having hosted with them for 18 months, I've just left.
1) Their customer service was the worst I've ever encountered from a hosting company. ALL support it outsourced; this is not a problem in itself, but when they can barely understand the problem, and give you incoherent answers to your questions, I think this becomes a serious problem. They suspended my site they host when a few people emailed them complaining in my opinion. I hosted a forum and the users started fighting amongst themselves. They emailed dataflame when someone called them a name or posted an insulting picture.

Dataflame are cheap for me, but once I signed up with them it's hard to remember that alongside this I get unhelpful customer service. It has been difficult to speak to a manager.
