“I brought a brand new Peugot Vivacity sportline...”

Written on: 03/10/2005 by darren hall (1 review written)

I brought a brand new Peugot Vivacity sportline because of its class looks and it is a lot better built than any other moped on the market. I also find it stands out a lot better more than any of the usual Speedfights and Yamaha neos! and so far I am loving it! The only problem is that it is still restricted to 30 and I am lookin into derestricting it. I would like to get a sports exhaust but as it has a catalyst I'm not sure if I can! Anyone got any tips?… Read Full Review

Darren, go to www.taffspeed.co.uk and click on tuning, and follow the links to Peugeot (taffspeed.co.uk/page53.html). It will give you instructions on how to get this done. Another useful site is autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/2StrokeSmoke/message/22018. This link should take you to some useful advice.

I have had no problems yet with my Peugeot Vivacity 50 Scooter, touch wood, the only reason I brought it was because it was virtually brand new and cheap! Only fault is on cold mornings! Has anybody had theirs done up or derestricted? If so do you have any tips and what sort of speed are you hitting now? Please reply… Read Full Review

my peugeot vivacity 50 is now going off the clock! i have a gear up, sports clutch, performance variator, deristriction, leo vince super TT power pipe and a set of light weight rollers. my baby flies!!! i am yet to be clocked by a car as i only got my gear up 2 days ago, but before the gear up i was clocked doing 63mph. but with gear up im guessing it does about 70 - 75.

Get the derestriction done - a MUST! You hit 50mph downhill and will cruise at 40!

“My wife selected this Peugeot Vivacity 50 Scooter due...”

Written on: 18/04/2005 by Magpie13 (1 review written)

My wife selected this Peugeot Vivacity 50 Scooter due to its good looks! Within 3 months it had to have a new carburettor and by Xmas 2004, it had been in and out of the dealers on several occasions to have fuel problems sorted out without any real success. The dealers were brilliant and have eventually replaced the carbs again, cleaned them out on several occasions but we are still experiencing problems now (Feb 05).... I would not reccommend this scooter to anyone else… Read Full Review

Only had the Peugeot Vivacity 50 scooter for four months, but no problems so far. I've been told that the electric start sometimes won't work in rain and cold, but I have had no problems as yet with this facility and the kick-start adds an extra solution should the electric start fail. Fuel consumption is minimal, and this machine gets me to and from work every day without fail (- darn). Nippy and stylish for a scooter and it's quick and easy to learn how to ride… Read Full Review

“I bought my Peugeot Vivacity 50 Scooter 2 years ago...”

Written on: 19/07/2004 by alisonbcrawford (1 review written)

I bought my Peugeot Vivacity 50 Scooter 2 years ago and now HAVE to replace it. After having the bike stolen and recovered, I discovered that the parts are very expensive to replace. Bodywork is soo expensive that only a few panels costs more than the entire bike to replace. Now after only moderate use, I'm having to buy a new bike as it's not worth paying to replace worn-out parts as they are so expensive and can take a while to get hold of (although that might be down to my dealer). OK if… Read Full Review

Not meaning to sound rude but why didn't you put an alarm on it. Funny thought I know as its just a scooter but just attach a basic cheap car alarm if you don't want to pay for it to be done properly. The sparkrite is great. Just attach the positive wire to the positive side of battery and the negative to the negative and it works fine... makes sound when someone takes the scooter of the stand.
