The Sony MDR-V700 headphones are NOT meant for DJ's. They are strictly for home casual use ONLY.

The hollow noise around earcup is due to cheap materials and insulation. This means that touching the earcup, or knocking it in any way will amplify that noise into the earphone.

    The swivel joint w ...

OK, first off, these headphones are for DJs, and I am rating them from a DJs point of view as a work tool and NOT for every-day listening. If you are a hi-fi purist you would find the sound from these Sony's completely over the top and smaller headphones can produce a more accurate sound for less m ...

I have had the Sony MDR-V700 headphones for over a year and not experienced any problems with the quality of construction, and I don't exactly treat them that well, they are usually lying on the floor near my amp so get kicked around but still look new. I have dropped them on the floor quick a few t ...

I would recommend steering clear of these Sony MDR-V700 headphones.

These headphones are very comfortable, with excellent sound. They have a nice sleek design, but weak structure, so the Sony MDR-V700's are easy to break, and hard too, when having to deal with self repair.

The Sony MDR-V700 headphones are great! I love the comfort and sound that I get from them. I've had mine for over three years, and I treat them like hell and they've held up perfectly.

The Sony MDR-V700 are made for DJ's. They are not HOWEVER, Made for home listening. People who think that they waste money for buying these. Whoever, believes that DJ's waste money on these, you must be the greatest fool. No sympathies for you guys ;) As for comfort, yes they are very tight and w ...

Bought these Sony MDR-V700 Headphones about two years ago, sounded amazing at first, open cup Senheisers are better, not so crisp now though. But bit by bit they have disintergrated now and the left cup is held together with tape! Try to get them fixed, ha ha ha, not a chance!

    Awful cheap plasti ...

WOW. . . Well this is the first ever product review I've done and to be reviewing the Sony MDR V700's is a pleasure.
To start with, the first time I plugged these into my mixer I didn't realize that I had the phones channel at near on 60% scared the Hell outta me. Not a shudder from these babys tho ...

My Sony MDR-V700 headphones started cracking at the swivel points six months after purchase. I use these in an office environment and take very good care of them. Sony will not repair these headphones, and because of this is the last Sony product I'll buy.
