“FREEZING !!!”

Left just about on time, but the flight itself, from JFK to MCO was absolutely freezing, the AC was fully turned up I guess. The 'complimentary' soft drink was an absolute joke and was the smallest drink I have ever seen. No snacks, and they wanted 7 bucks for a Gin/Tonic . . . I don't think so. Like many other travellers, this was booked via BA so only option was the AA flight. No wonder these companies are going under, their customer service is appalling… Read Full Review

“worst flying experience”

fly any other airline - first a three hour delay and a multitude of excuses for the delay. first is was the bathroom - then we lost our spot - nerer get an honest story. Plane was filthy, then after this 3 hour delay they charge 5.00 for headsets. tehn the flight attendents were surley -- one of the worst airline experience in over 30 years… Read Full Review

AA is the the only company, ripoff , I $ 50 to step in the club , I had pay for everything ,drinks and food , completely disaster , they should be ashamed , to charge $50 for no service , else 5 hours flight, accross country, they charge me for peanuts , ashamed on you, I hope I will never need fly with this company again… Read Full Review

“AA Gives away your seats!”

Flight back from Jacksonville, FL through Dallas, TX to Austin, TX. The flight was running behind because the tower changed the gate several times. Myself and many others literally ran at full speed to the connecting flight in Dallas and arrived in time only to be totally ignored while they took stand by people out of the line. “Never Again”

“Fine with Me”

From Tampa, FL to Dallas Ft. Worth, to LAX and back, they were great! Myself and party were on time, flights even departed on average 5-8 minutes early. “TAKE ANOTHER AIRLINES!!!”

We just returned from a family vacation to Ohio. All of our flights were w/ American Airlines. From mechanical problems, flight delays, multiple gate changes, lack of staff, lack of customer service and filthy planes (dried vomit on seat in front of us and on the window shade, wad of gum on our armrest, crumbs on our drop table, chunks of chicken on the aisle floor...) “Pleasantly surprised with flights”

After booking our flights with AA we became very concerned after reading all the adverse reviews. Well we were therefore pleasantly surprised with both outward & inward flights, the seat pitch was good, the stewards were pleasant & very helpful, the plane interior was clean, catering was plentiful & nothing was to much trouble. “Ruined our honeymoon”

Like so many people on this site, I had a deeply deeply unpleasent experience with AA. Unfortunately for the timing and the route I wanted, Manchester to New Orleans, there was very little choice. We were flying out on our honeymoon and each of the four flights was delayed. Total delays, 6 hours going, 6.5 hours coming back. “Plane is dirty!!!!”

I hate this plane, it's so dirty and caused me to have little itchy bumps all over my body! I even felt sick and nauseous and itchy for a few days after the plane ride. There's even a twizzler on the back of the seat pocket and cup stains on the trays! “The worst airline”

I had my flight cancelled from DFW to LBB I was told there was bad weather and therefore an act of God so the airlines will not be covering my hotel stay even though the next flight is 2 days away and there hasn't been a hint of bad weather in Dallas or Lubbock. “Horrible and unreliable”

This airline sets a new low for other airlines. They cancel flights the day of because they didn't sell enough tickets but lie and give you another excuse. They change gate numbers so often because so many of their planes are not showing up when expected that we had four gate changes from upstairs to downstairs each time! If your plane is cancelled, guess what? They don't even give you a voucher. And don't you dare complain because their employees are going to tell you to shut up. Disgusting… Read Full Review

“Flight times changed without notification. ”

Booked a flight to NY a month in advance, received my itinerary 6 days later with the wrong flight times. Called AA and requested some sort of accommodations to help me make my return flight from NY and was promptly told that I needed to pay the 200 dollar change fee or go **** myself.
