Not only was the gentleman I spoke to on the phone very RUDE, but he kept laughing at me when I would as him questions to better understand my options. After him being no help, I then asked him to speak to someone else. He left me on hold for well over an hour and still haven't spoken to anyone else. “Very disappointing”

The aircraft was okay considering it was economy. But they should definitely allow more leg room. As if that wasn't enough, I was squished by 2 people who were well-rounded. Their legs came about 3-4 inches to my side of the seats. It doesn't sound like much but I was in a very tight space. I can't believe I chose them for my round trip, too. Their service was neutral. “WORST EVER! Dont use, beware they are DISHONEST!”

Called and waited not 18 minutes, but 29 minutes to speak to a represntative on phone, who answered the call like I was bothering her! Really? Then told the voucher that I have for free baggage doesn't apply as the flight was booked on the US Airways site for AA flight. Funny when I called US Air, who I have been with since 1990 as a FFlyer, I was told the voucher would honored, even though it was on an AA flight as they are one in the same company. “TERRIBLE!!”

American Airlines totally ruined my desire to fly anywhere again! I should have looked at the reviews first. This is the first time I have flown in 15 years. Staff is rude (unless you find one of the good ones). Check your baggage, even if it is regulation size, because you may not get it back. Worst experience of my life and I still do not have my luggage. Not saying you won't get lucky, but odds are you will have problems. I flew AA for a multi-destination trip recently with my family of 4. We checked 2 bags and 2 carseats. We gate checked our stroller. Everything was fine, until we were getting off of our flight and we noticed when we went to pick up our gate-checked stroller, 1 of our carseats was sitting there with it. I have only flown American twice. The first one was the best. The flight crew were very nice and helpful. That was after what happened earlier. We were on AA93 from Dublin EIDW to Chicago KORD. The flight was 8 hours 20 minutes and it was scheduled for 9:00 and would have arrived at Chicago at 12:00 but due a mechanical failure, we didn't arrive into Chicago until 4:00pm. “Rip Off Merge”

Forget this Airline. They use the excuse that US AIRWAYS did not send over miles. Well my 50,000 went to 10,000 siting they expired. Impossible I fly every year at the same time. Hopeless. I was on Sunday August 23rd traveling from Cuenca in Southern Ecuador with LAN to connect with the AA service to Miami and on to EWR On arrival at the airport in Cuenca I was informed by LAN Ecuador that the flight was canceled effectively meaning that I would miss my connection with AA to Miami and onwards to New York. There was nothing to like about this flight experience other than my destination because it was for leisure. When I returned back from my vacation; my bag was not on my flight. I went out of the country. I was told my luggage never left the aiport with my departure. So I am thousands of miles away; get in on a late flight and waiting to receive my bag and did not get it. “Worst ever cusomer service”

6 am flight today. Problem with the plane - mechanical issue. Plane delayed to 10. Then 12. Then 5. They would not cancle the flight or rebook anyone on it. Left all passengers stranded in Newark airport for 12 hours instead. Issued a voucher for a sandwich at 10 am, and that's it for the day. Our flight was cancelled due to "weather conditions" from DC to Miami despite the fact that there wasn't any bad weather whatsoever. They cancelled flights all over the US with the same excuse to avoid taking responsibility and in order to not pay hotels or give points to anybody. “Wish for old days”

Sat on Tarmac waiting for the company to give the pilot his final ok for over 30 mins plane ran low on fuel had to go back and refuel. the plane was hot when we boarded the overfilled flight. People packed in like sardines, there was not enough over head storage people taking on 3 bags most had oversized, packed to the (band word) bloated carry ons. It's amazing people don't riot. “Our trip to Cancun”

“RIDICULOUSLY TERRIBLE!”

Fifty-eight (58) minutes: That was all it took for me to miss my connecting flight in another city and pass the night on the cold floor of Los Angeles International Airport. Special thanks to American Airlines/US Airways. They always say that two heads are better than one, but this case spoke differently. “How Do They Stay in Business?”

I don't know how AA stays in business. Recently they ruined my children's vacation by leaving late in both directions due to mechanical failure, leading to two missed connections and lost luggage. Airport personnel in Miami (Mrs Coffey) were rude and condescending and customer service offers no compensation other than useless vouchers and spewing the company line. “Choose another airline! ”

I gave AA a one star rating because I had to choose something. Otherwise, I would have given it a negative. This was my worst flying experience ever, and my children's first flying experience ever. We were supposed to fly out Sunday morning at 7:45 a.m. and due to a mechanical issue the flight was delayed (at first) and ended up getting cancelled. “American Airlines Does Not Stand Behind Their Service”
