I recently travelled on American Airlines from Phoenix to LA 25th January 2016. When we arrived at our seats, there were people already seated there.The flight attendant had told them to sit there.We were then aggressively told to put our cabin baggage under our seat as there was no room in the overhead compartments(later found out that this was not true).My friend was told that if her bag didn't fit under her seat, it would be checked in.When she stated that there were valuables in the bag… Read Full Review

“Never fly with AA, they are the worst!!!!!”

I tried to cancel my flight last year, but they only gave me $99 credit for $300 flight and I was told that I can use it for a year from flight date, today they told me that it actually was one year from purchase date, which means they gave me a credit of $99, tricked me and took it back, if everything goes as planned then yes you save money as they are cheap, but if you plans change be ready to loose all your money, never choose AA, go with United, they are much better… Read Full Review

I wish I could give no starts. Was promised a refund.Refund Status says the ticket is refunded. I called for the 20th time and got the run around about how it is being reviewed. It really is a joke how bad the service is.I will never fly AA again.

“I would give them no Stars if I could!”

Do not fly with them. Their customer service is terrible. My flight was delayed causing me to miss my connecting flight and they provided no compensation for the inconvenience whatsoever. If that was the only inconvenience I would've been more forgiving but their aiport staff was also rude, I lost sleep because I had to stay in the airport and when i finally got to my destination i discovered they lost my bags! “Worst Airline Ever, AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!”

AA is the worst airline ever, I have never had such bad experience with any other airlines, not even Spirit. In the last four months I've had four terrible experiences due to airlines fault. They lost my checked bags twice, broken items in those bags which I never got reimbursed for. Twice the flight was canceled due to mechanical issues. all their explanation delay on weather. their answer: Our records show flight AA4779 was delayed due to weather. AA4779 did not land in CLT until 21:09. After paying full price for first class ticket and selecting seats I surprisingly found them reassigned at the last minute to awful non-reclining FC seats. I can understand having to change planes, but give the folks who paid cash for the seats equivalent seats. The FC bulkhead seats were given to customers using upgrades from coach. “American Airlines Policy Scheme”

This is not an event review, this is apparent policy that I find tough to swallow to say the least. Made reservations for 4 for round trip flight from MSP to SAN departure Jan 17, 2016. I had one in the party that had to cancel and another employee that was willing to go. Simple. Substitute one passenger for another passenger. American Airlines said that is not possible. “Paid for Preferred Seat Problem”

I purchased two preferred seats on American Airlines at a total cost of $141.60 for flight AA 740 from Philadelphia to Madrid Spain on December 21 2015 and also on the return on flight AA 741 Madrid to Philadelphia on December 31 2015. “Just Don't Book With Them”

Our experience with American Airlines was extremely disappointing. We had purchased tickets back in April 2015. On our flight home we arrived at airport to be told 2 people in our party of 4 did not have seats and were being bumped from flight. “Stolen Cargo in London”

“Worst airline out there ”

Flew American Airlines - apparently there are always problems with the WIFI, which was not working for the duration of my flight, as well as an underwhelming stock of food and beverages for purchase. They ran out of all food items and had limited snacks available, no premium wines left, etc. and the staff appeared to be equally as disappointed as all of the high paying customers on the flight. I had the worst experience flying. I booked my ticket months ago for very expensive. I came early to my flight. I went to board my flight and I was told that the seat that I had 10F was given to someone else. It was a two hour call wait time and when they finally answered they told me there were no flights even though I could book a flight on line on my computer they couldn't. “No concept of on-time arrival or departure”

Also, 5979 from LAX to Eugene, 12/28 Mesa, arrived 40 minutes late to LAX. As a result missed my flight 5979. Was rebooked from 12/27 but the time between 5629 and 5979 was barely sufficient if things went perfectly. Had to move between buildings 6 and 4 in LAX plus take a bus. Thus I missed my connection from LAX to EUG, which was only 40 minutes. This was rebooked by AA. Their system should know that departures are so far separated from arrivals at LAX. “AA ruins another Vacation trip”

Planned a short trip to St Maarten over the Christmas Holiday. Landed 3 hours late and had to try and find our resort in the dark and lose a day of vacation. And they ran out of food on the flight. The trip back to Pittsburgh via Charlotte was much worse. The airline flew to St Maarten and didn't have enough fuel to get us to Charlotte.
