    Having just ordered a gift at Debenhams and having to pay £3.50 for delivery, I would strongly recommend The Gift list at John Lewis.

    They advise the item is available, then because it runs out when delivering they offer vouchers (to spend in store) in place of the goods. John Lewis don't consult you, so you don't get the chance to get something else should you wish.

    The customer service was very poor. However, as a result of their mistake, we ended up with lots of vouchers which meant we could purchase the things we thought were most important.

    The choice of The Gift List at John Lewis is great and the concept is good. However there are a lot of loose ends which require tying up. It is a little distasteful to have to be calling up chasing your wedding presents 3 months after they were purchased and be made to feel like there is nothing you ...

    John Lewis made us feel really special - we were sent off round the store to zap all the products we liked, and could then go home and refine or add to our list via the website, or go back into the store to make any changes. Free hot drink and pastry, too. Lots of choice for us to select from, an ...
