“a massive let down”

ordered and paid for a home delivery on 5th sept ,delivery didnt arrive i understand sometimes things go wrong i work for a leading supermarket but no phone call to say its delayed or wont be arriving after several phone calls to the store a email to customer servive with no response so today i rang customer service which were no help what so ever its now 2 days past my original delivery day and i still have no order all customer service said was no one is answering the phone so they will drop the store a email really bad customer service and will not be ordering from them again

“Rude aggressive Manager”

Will not be shopping in Iceland again if they train their Managers to speak to customers like I was spoken to today, and it's not the first time I experienced this particular Manager speaking to customers in this way. I am taking my custom elsewhere in future.

“Charged me twice and loads of items did not arrive!”

I ordered online and had a delivery on good Friday, apparently due to Iceland's error my order was duplicated and I was charged twice! I sent the duplicate order away. No Easter eggs that I ordered. I was charged twice. When I rang and complained I was told my refund would take 3-5 days. I explained I couldn't wait 3-5 days as this would leave me very short of money over Easter, I was informed that nothing could be done. I asked to speak to a manager and was told this was not possible. When I asked again I was told my call was being terminated and the person hung up! I rang again and asked to speak to a manager, eventually I spoke with a 'manager' and explained that I could not afford to be without the money they had taken, but was told there was nothing that could be done. So due to their error I was short of money for the whole of the bank holiday period, and I had to change the things I had planned to do with my children. I complained to Iceland who sent me a £5 coupon if I spend over £30. I won't be using it because I won't be shopping Iceland again. Disgusting way to treat their customers, totally ruined what should have been a nice family Easter.

This is 2020. Imagine our surprise when our order delivered by Iceland in Essex was NOT ONLY DUPLICATED BUT CHARGED TWICE. We're in COVID19 lockdown and vulnerable. Our small freezer unable to take that capacity. So much waste and over £230 taken from our account! We're on tiny pension. We're highly vulnerable. My hubby is my carer but we're not computer illiterate. Cannot make contact with supermarket. And they still couldn't find any toilet rolls for us! HELP!

“my best discovery ever!”

I hadn't realised until a few months ago how diverse the grocery stock is in Iceland, not just frozen stuff. Good prices. My local Loughborough store staff are very helpful as I have arthritis and limited movement so can't always reach items. They also check with in store customers if they would like home delivery, (when there's room on truck), just before the driver leaves. The online order delivery people are so pleasant and patient. Sometimes there may be an online ordered item out of stock but lets face it that happens now and again if you do an instore shop anywhere . Being able to amend an online order up to 10pm eve of delivery is so useful. I often get home from shopping elsewhere and remember something I needed but couldn't face the trek back to the store. The only downside is the way they have recently changed how you pay for an online order. Its not always convenient to have to pay on ordering when you're choosing a delivery date a few days ahead. For those on limited income, pensions, benefits etc, it means you cannot order earlier than your payday. Overall a very easy and cost effective way to shop for majority of household items.

“Disgusting customer service ”

Booked a delivery, it didn't arrive on time. Telephoned customer services who checked and confirmed order was out for delivery and just running late. Said the store would call to confirm time. Peterborough store called and said delivery would possibly arrive Saturday. Nonsense especially as I had an email confirming delivery date and time today, plus the money for the shopping had been taken out of my account. No manager to deal with the call and resolve issue/mistakes. Incredibly rude staff don't listen to customers but always wanting to talk over them with insincere apologies, laughing and winding customers up saying, "there's nothing they can do" and nobody available to help resolve the problem. Absolutely disgusting, low-level service. Best advice, shop somewhere else where your custom is appreciated and customers are treated with respect. Don't touch this store! Terrible experience - they expect customers to take delivery of food over 24 hours late that have been sat on a van.

“Xmas shop”

Important items missing from list ordered a week before xmas was promised a full refund but was instead refunded a fraction of the cost. Customer service agent rude. Caused undue stress at Xmas not happy will not be using Iceland again they couldn't of cared less.

“Never Again!”

I've now had 4 online shopping orders from Iceland and every time items were missing - marked out of stock - despite being marked in-stock on the website. Strangely it was always items that were heavy or bulky that were missing from each delivery. Today - after my normal delivery with out of stock items I went into the local store and low and behold - all the out of stock items were available to buy! On quizzing a member of staff I was told that quite often they take items off the online orders as sometimes they are too heavy for the van and it means they can cover more orders in a single day if some items are taken off orders to allow more space in the van. Iceland - Is this really any way to run a business??? I won't be ordering from Iceland ever again!!!

“Ultimate beef burgers with miso”

“Ok supermarket ”

Overall ok supermarket, but can be challenging at times. It is better to say nothing, than come out with OTT jokey conversation-which is tiresome for the customer, who will laugh at the lame joke just to be polite and remain calm if the comment was meant to hint at something less than positive.

“Iceland online delivery appalling”

I ordered an online home delivery only to be missing an item and when I phoned customer services I was told I wouldn't be getting my item I have to wait 5-7 days for a refund but it's not the first time I've had a negative experience with iceland, I won't order fresh fruit and vegetables as previously I did and it was like they were put next to a bag of frozen items, so they went all watery and had to be put in the bin. The food hand picked is food going out of date really not a happy customer and will not be ordering an online shop again

“Do not Shop in Iceland”

I sometime used Iceland for shopping in London Wood Green area; the Iceland supermarket is a quite market if you compare with other markets in this area; when I had a parking ticket from the Iceland management I understood why their business is quite in a one of the busiest district in London. If you visit Iceland you have to pay for parking; I do not think any other supermarket has pay for parking policy; I think pay for parking policy is ok to support the market with a few quit so that they can pay their rent. However, what is not ok that if the staff has cheating attitude about parking and their unprofessional skill for food delivery. A few years back we ordered food number of times to the Iceland to be delivered; I do not think they could delivered any of these in a smooth way; we have to change our food delivery to one other company which can successfully deliver our orders. It must be this unsuccessfulness pushed the Iceland to do parking with fare and cheat their customers. In December 2016 I visited again Iceland for shopping; this time the ticket machine was not working; I told the security about the machine who told me "today is free". One of the customers who told me to take a written ticket from the staff otherwise I might get a fine. I asked again to the security guy if he can give me a written ticket; the security guy told me to speak to the manager; manager was not in his room; I continued shopping. My stay in the parking area was about 40 minutes. A few weeks later I got a parking ticket from Excel Parking Services Ltd which controlled Iceland's parking. I phoned to the store and explained the machine and the fine. The person who answered my phone provided a phone number to me and told me that if I phone the head office they would cancel the fine. The head office did not cancel the fine instead they asked me to write a written explanation and send it to their head office address. I sent the written explanations to the head office; instead of head office the Excel Parking Services Ltd answered my letter who wrote to me that "the machine was not broken on the day I parked. How can I prove that the machine was broken? I think the simple solution for parking fines from Iceland is that "do not waste your time with Iceland management and do not do your shopping with Iceland if you do not want to pay twice for your food than a proper supermarket.

“Most disgraceful delivery service ”

I ordered my shopping for home delivery and most of all of it has ended up until the bin. My tins and juice was frozen including biscuits. All the apparent frozen items are like mush and to top it off all the shopping was dumped on my front door. No wonder driver did a fast runner... disgraceful

“frozen chicken fillets”

Don't buy frozen chicken fillets - v poor quality with grissle and even bones, unbeleiveable!!!!!!! I am going back to one of the major Supermarkets for this product, disgusting Iceland - what I thought was actually true Hah!!!"!!! Rubbish products!!! won't be4 going back to this retailer ever! “Refused to take back goods despite not honouring offer”

I've purchased from most supermarkets and generally if there is a problem they will sort it fairly once they know the issue is caused by them but not Iceland. Made use of their Uncle Ben offer which was buy 3 items and get a free wok which was advertised on their online site. You just clicked on the offer and a list of 11 items was presented to you of which 3 were chosen. Time of delivery no wok so requested to return the uncle ben products but refused instead the driver stated the wok would be delivered later. However instead a rather nasty phone call was received stating there was no such offer later. I requested they check online to see the offer they refused stating they didn't have web access. A complaint email to iceland was completely ignored. So basically there was no contract of sale. They didn't honour the contract of sale and refused to take back the 3 items. I was disgusted. Dealing with iceland customer service is farcical, amateur and dishonest. I find the store good value but to be honest now I have absolutely no trust knowing that they make no effort to be fair or honest. This was the Yeovil store in Somerset but the phone call was from head office. An email to the CEO was completely ignored too. This is by far the worse customer service of any supermarket I've encountered not because of the problem but because of no attempt to deal with it correctly. The store presents itself marketing wise as very chavy which I personally not keen on but this extends to, to their customer service. This is not a review of their instore service and the customer has far more control there but their online service is quite frankly not of acceptable quality. Their online site lied about providing the wok as they didn't honour it and the stores and head office make no attempt to remedy the problem. The customer is expected to buy goods and receive less goods than stated for the money paid and lump it.

“Rising Dough Pizza”

I have recently bought a Rising Dough Pizza, from Iceland, just to try it. Imagine my surprise, when I cooked it, and it was a lot better than the take away ones I usually get. The flavour was Indian Curry, and it was really tasty (all of the benefits, with none of the drawbacks)I shall by purchasing more of this range in the very near future. Well done Iceland, keep up the good work!

“Sell bye dates!”

I Got Milk on Thursday it was out of date on the Friday!! The Bread was 2 DAYS out of date!! Scones were out of date also bye 2 days!The online shoppers are getting the stuff that is out of date! absolutely shocking Get the fingers out Iceland this is nonsense!!!!

Has anyone been having problems making a card payment on the online shopping site for Iceland? I have spent hours trying to make payments and usually I get it through in the end, but this week it would not take it and I had to just leave the site and forget about the online service.
