Petplan Pet Insurance is poor, claims handling...lost paperwork...attempted to wriggle out of paying by claiming blatantly incorrect information ... repeated resending of documentation requested... All this to get out of paying £60...the next years premium on my animals would have been 3 tim ...

My claim has been going on for 2 months and delayed all because they keep on advising they do not have my dog history! They requested it once and never chased it, now they have been chasing it they still haven't found it on their fax machine even though the vets claimed they have sent it at least tw ...

I have been a petplan customer for 13 years (since my best friend was a pup) and for many years they have been excellent. My Labrador recently died but over those years she enjoyed some of the best medical care an animal could get. At 10 years she developed cataracts in both eyes & pet plan covered ...

Don't be fooled by the fact Petplan Pet Insurance call themselves 'the pet people', yes they specialise in pets, but they charge too much as well. Shop around and you can get a better policy elsewhere.

I have 2 dogs. last year Petplan did a pre-policy for one who has Lipoma. For exclusion by virtue of Pre-exisiting Condition, they listed ?Tumours, cancers, lipomas and associated conditions?. I was concerned because lipoma is only a small subset of Tumours. So, they attached a letter stating they'l ...

I chose Petplan insurance even though they are expensive because of the reputation of the company for dealing with claims but I regret doing so as they have not been at all helpful in doing the right thing by my kitten. Its also annoying that they have call centres overseas. I would not recommend t ...

We insured our Golden Retriever with Pet Plan the day before we collected him from his mother. After 91/2 years of excellent health our vet identified that his lungs were riddled with aggressive tumours. Within a week Kimba was unable to move and struggling to breathe and we accepted the advice of ...

I have two cats and a Rottweiler dog insured with Petplan, and over the last 4 years I have claimed almost £15,000 in veterinary fees for the three of them. I have been lucky that my vet has always allowed me to do direct payment to them, but they have done this because they recommend petplan ...

Having been with PetPlan for years, and only once claiming (5 years ago) for my 91/2 year old Springer Spaniel. I am shocked that they are now looking for a monthly pet insurance premium of £27.29. This has gone up from £23 last year, and that is for their economy policy. My excess has ...
