    Having two dogs we decided to use E&L as they appeared to be the most competitive provider and the level of cover was similar to other providers.

    All was OK until we made a simple claim for antibiotics and stiching of around £110 of which we had to pay the intial £70 excess. It took ov ...

    The company only pays up to a maximum £500 per condition and then takes its excess. Not too good if your condition is in excess of this. Also I am still awaiting a cheque for the £431 when the claim form went in back in April.

    Would not recomment e & L pet insurance

    WARNING -stay well away from E and L Pet Insurance. In late February I claimed for a vet bill of £1,389, but after all of their deductions I only received £302 and it took them four months to pay. I thought that I was covered for £2,250 but apparently there is a limit of £5 ...

    E = Evasive
    and
    L = Low pay outs

    I think this sums everything up, hence will NEVER use this company again. BEWARE if you neuter your pet they deduct a further 25% from claim, deduct £69 Excess for EACH SECTION so your claim may incur more than one excess,had to pay £69 excess for vet f ...

    OurDog recently passed away,in the garden I telephoned asking for some guidance as to what to do and besides, the literature accompanying the insurance, states that you must contact them as soon as possible. Everyone in the house had been saddened by this loss and we at least would have liked to hav ...

    There are 4 problems with this company:-
    1) They take ages to settle a claim (3months)
    2) They take ages to answer the phone or E-Mails (a week)
    3) They take money by direct debit for enhancements you have not asked for
    4) Their policy documents and terms & conditions are misleading ...

    DONT TOUCH THEM - THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER HAD THE MISFORTUNE TO DEAL WITH!!!
    Standard claim - dog cut leg and required surgery. Took over 3 months to receive the payment and this was only due to making weekly phone calls where I was always told that the claim had been authorised but there was ...

    I have had my 2 cats insured with E&L for many years even though my vet warned me not to go with them. I have had a few claims and after every claim the premium shoots up a good few quid each cat and they also issue a new policy saying that my cats won't be covered again for the last illness they ha ...
