When I claimed for my cat it took them ages to actually pay up, we were not paid in full as they made excuses as to why they didn't and to top it all they kept sending me letters requesting payment for my policy every month otherwise they were going to cancel it - even though my cat had been put to ...

I insured my dog with this company and have made two claims. It has taken an average of 5 months to get payment on both occasions, and then only after writing to complain to the Claims Manager.
However it took them no time at all to write to me excluding the conditions from further cover.
    I realis ...

E and L Pet Insurance is a truly awful, dreadful service. I submitted a claim in January. I finally got paid out in August. A straightforward claim, but they threw irrelevant obstacles in all the way along. My dog was hit by a car and needed vet treatment, x-rays etc. They demanded her full medical ...

The first year with E and L Pet Insurance I had no problems...I made no claims. In February 2007 our 7 year old dog developed a hip problem, had an X-Ray and was prescribed daily medication. I sent a claim in in March. After 5 phone calls to E and L, the cheque for £128 arrived in June. I made ...

We had our horse insured with E&L Pet Insurance, and they are really very bad! We have dogs, goats and horses and will NEVER ever use this company again. They must be the WORST insurance company I have ever had the misfortune to deal with. My claim was some years ago and I see nothing has changed. T ...

This company really needs to be brought to justice. People need to be made aware just how bad they are. People take out insurance because they love their pets and do not want to see them suffer. I have had my beloved pet insured with them for over 3 years - she has just been seriously ill and has ...

DO NOT CHOOSE THIS INSURER FOR YOUR PET INSURANCE. There are MUCH better deals around and you are likely to be paid quicker. Even my vet said 'my heart sank when I saw you were insured with E and L!'

My Dog suddenly sadly passed away in November 2006, I sent all documents requested by E and L Pet Insurance, vet history, receipt, pedigree etc etc. I had to send 3 times as they kept saying they did not receive them, got paid out for vet fees April 2007, then they had excluded the cost of pet claim ...

I have been waiting for 3 months for E and L pet insurance pay the Animal Health Trust at Newmarket for my claim. AHT were very reluctant to claim direct from E and L, as they have had problems getting their money before. The staff at E and L make excuse after excuse as to why payment has not been ...

We have a boxer puppy, and we insured her through them. She had an infection in her foot in December and received vet treatment. After the excess, we were to receive £120 back; we are still waiting. We have telephoned E & L Pet Insurance, and we have been told we will receive the money by the ...
