My labrador bitch had a cruciate ligament operation costing £3000. E & L refused to accept liability before the operation was performed so we had to agree to pay the bill and hope that the insurance would pay up. Very worrying as we are living on a pension. We paid the bill on a credit card ...

Absolutely no comprehension of how much extra stress and anxiety they cause by not processing claims quickly enough. When my kitten contracted FIP, he unfortunately had to be put to sleep. Although he had to different vet practitioners the claim I put in was the result of his illness, they treated ...

My little Westie terrier dog, has torn both his Ligaments in his back legs. I contacted E and L for a claim form, I took it to my vet and they filled their part in as did I fill my part. The vet sent it off, and when I rang E and L, they say they had not received it (1 week later) Since then I have ...

My cat was injured by a car outside my house and had a broken leg which required a lot of treatment. The day after I contacted E&I to get a claim form and they said they would send one out , to cut a long story short I got one after 6 weeks and 11 phone calls latter. I filled my part and got the ...

I have read other reviews here as I am exasperated with e and l. They are a poor company and I hope that many other people read these reviews before wasting their money. I have had a claim in for three months now, and many telephone calls later I was told to complain, which I did - my claim was then ...

I initiated a claim in August 2007 and I am still waiting in December 2007. They like you to send in a complaint which takes another 2 weeks of time.

I have never come across a company so bad in my life. Each time I ring they seem not to have a clue what they are talking about.
This all started in October this year unfortunately my cat had to be put to sleep he was only one. He was a Birman cat and had a disease called F.I.P if you have ever he ...

The time they have taken to deal with my - simple- case is unacceptable. So far it has been 2 months. They made an offer but deducted money for the time my dog spent waiting for his operation at the vet and his after care - a total of 8 hours! Everything is dealt with by second class post. No cheque ...

My vet wouldn't accept direct payment from this company, so I had to pay up front and am still waiting for the money back 3 months on! It almost seems pointless taking out the insurance. When I call them to ask when I'll receive my money all they say is 'I don't know'. I asked would it be before C ...
