I would not advise anyone to insure with E & L Pet Insurance, prior to my claim I had six months of hassle over taking my premiums. They would write letters saying that I must have given them the incorrect credit card but were able to collect payment for one policy but not the other! My vet actually ...

I took pet insurance with E&L but when I claimed for my dog's operation it took 8 months for them to pay out during which time my dog died. They asked my vet for the same information repeatedly then kept telling me they hadn't got the info. I sent numerous emails, spoke to a different person each ti ...

My cat had a life threatening illness in March this year and despite sending all supporting documentation, they keep offering a fraction of the amount I felt I was owed. They also have not yet responded to my correspondence.

I insured our dog through E&L Insurance, he was a puppy at the time probably only about 8 weeks old. When he was just over a year we notice that he had lameness in is left leg. We took him to the vet and after medicine and x-rays, we submitted our first claim, which we have not received any rein ...

My cat had a thryroid operation in May 2008 claim forms sent, numerous emails, no replies to start, eventually a member of staff contacted me, made lots of promises, a cheque was going to be raised on 9th June 2008, and then when it didn't turn up I was advised it hadn't been raised due to the imple ...

I have had my dog insured with E&L for the last 3 plus years and in April needed to claim for the first time due to illness.
I completed the claim form immediately and returned it. 2 weeks later my dog had to be put to sleep and I completed the continuation claim form. I was told that payment would ...

I put a claim in in early April and have rang up on several occasions and been told like so many of you it's being dealt with. When asked to speak to someone else you can't, when asked why it takes so long "cause it does". I didn't complain to the company direct I went straight to the Ombudsmen and ...

On 10th May 2008 we suddenly had to have one of our dear cats, Rocky, put to sleep by the emergency vet. He was almost 17 & we have been with E & L near enough all that time. In April after consulting our vet about his weight loss we put in our first claim ever. It was hard enough having to phone f ...

Do not use E&L! Made a claim in February, had acknowledgment that the claim was accepted in April, but am still waiting for payment. I've phoned and emailed, but they just fob me off.

Claimed on my dog's pet insurance from E and L for £5400.00 they agreed to pay the limit of £1000.00 less excess, but many phone calls later they will still not say when cheque will be sent only it is in the system, this is over 2 months after they agreed to send cheque.
