“I purchased the Webley Vulcan Air Rifle second hand...”

Written on: 20/06/2004 by Adam C (1 review written)

I purchased the Webley Vulcan Air Rifle second hand from a friends dad and its ten years old, mint condition and had shot under 100 pellets. I am fairly new to shooting, but after fitting Nikko-stirling Mount Master sights (3-9 X 40)I have had no problem killing rabbits, etc. It is always accurate and the power is excellent, always killing first shot. It looks and feels quality (deluxe model), and I cannot fault it. The only thing I really miss is the two stage trigger found on the Longbow… Read Full Review

“This Webley Vulcan still handles and shoots well even...”

Written on: 03/06/2004 by jakearkell (1 review written)

This Webley Vulcan still handles and shoots well even after the 18 years of shooting my dad has had out of it. It can still cull rabbits at 25-30mts and hasn't had a new spring put in it since it was bought brand new. I am trying to find some opens for the gun as telescopics aren't all reliable on this gun… Read Full Review

I owned a webley vulcan carbine from 93-95, I bought it second hand and it had a 6" barrel. I was told that the model I had was made for export but I cannot confirm this. I can say that this rifle is the best air rifle I have ever owned in terms of accuracy, power and reliability. I regret selling it, as in my opinion it is much better than any of the weirauch, Theoben and Bsa guns I have owned both before and after it.

If you haven't done so already, call T.W. Chambers, they will probably have the original open sights, they are still standard fitment on the Webley Hurricane pistol so finding them shouldn't be a problem.

Very good. The Webley Vulcan is an old air rifle, but it still does the job. I've had it for about 15 yrs and its still in good condition. it just goes to show that it is well made and that it can be maintained very easily. The break barrel has a very good, quick release and can load a pellet in under 3 seconds. it is also very easy to aim the rifle and get it correct positioning, by using the two cogs on top and on the side. Very Good… Read Full Review

All Webley Vulcan's were fitted with a manual safety, are you sure we are talking about the same rifle?

“17 years on, the Webley Vulcan Air rifle has not lost...”

Written on: 03/09/2003 by Webley4Ever (1 review written)

17 years on, the Webley Vulcan Air rifle has not lost any of its power. Still use it to cull the local pigeon population and with the scope on it...watch out. I also have an old Shangai at the cottage with field sites and after about 25 years, it is still firing strong. Shoots a bit to the left but I compensate for that with the field sites and stilla good squirrel gun!… Read Full Review

“Response to Noodles. I received my Webley Vulcan II...”

Written on: 10/06/2003 by Dan. (1 review written)

Response to Noodles. I received my Webley Vulcan II on my 13th birthday and have literally shot thousands of Beeman Silver Jets through it. It received a new heart from David Slade a few years back when he removed the old tired spring and replaced it with a gas ram. I am now 34 years old and still enjoy small game hunting as much as I did at 13. It was and still is a great little air rifle. Good memories!… Read Full Review

I have heard of replacing the spring with a gas ram. Where can I find these parts? Any help is greatly appreciated.

How long ago did you fit the gas spring and is it still as good today as it was at first? How much was the gas spring? I am very interested in this as my spring is due to be replaced after many years of use.

“My first rifle was a Webley Vulcan. As soon as i got...”

Written on: 06/06/2003 by Noodles. (1 review written)

My first rifle was a Webley Vulcan. As soon as i got it i was amazed at how good it looked especially for the price. The Beeche stock looked as good as any walnut could and the balance was great. I had prepared a 15 yard range in my garden and started off by pinging some cans with my open sights using Eley wasps 5.6mm (0.22)
It was very accurate and i spent well over 3 hours there.
I later mounted a Webley 3-9x40 scope on and it brought even better results and my accuracy improved alot.
I… Read Full Review

I'll go with you there Noodles as I used one for a while about 20 years ago.
In a spring-powered air rifle you can't have the power without the weight and the only way around that is to start making 'em out of titanium.
And when they do that - mortgage your house!
