I have been with Barclays for 5 years and I have had nothing but problems. I have an account that allows me to have a monthly overdraft of £250 for a fee of around £12 per month which for a start is above any other banks interest charges. Recently I went into my local branch and asked if ...

Years ago, I would have recommended Barclays Bank to anyone. They were superb. Now, they are far too focused on doing as little for the customer as possible. Once upon a time, it was possible to speak to someone there and sort out problems. Now, there is no customer services number to be easily ...

Every time I enter a Barclays Bank branch to deposit cash or to ask for advice I'm always impressed by friendly staff and good customer service. If I ever need any advice or if I have any account enquiries I ring the telephone banking service where I am treated like an individual. I would reccommend ...

As I no longer live in the U.K I have to do my banking via the internet or telephone. Both these services are poorly run. It takes anything from a week to a month for simple email enquries to be answered by Barclays Bank, and then the answer sometimes doesn't even make sense. I've had wrong accou ...

Barclays Bank have always caused me problems and when they finally decided to move the "night cheque/cash deposit" box INSIDE the bank (no longer 24hr!)it was the final straw as I work 9-5 and couldnt even PAY IN to my account! Avoid like the plague! Their products have a history of being a rip-off ...

I have had an account with Barclays for over 22 years. In that time I have had no disputes with them over missing money etc. that have not been resolved amicably.
They have branches in most capital cities which is very useful when withdrawing cash (no surcharges when using Barclays ATMs abroad).
    ...

I was a Barclays customer for over 14 years until I changed over to HSBC whom have been absoloutly brilliant.

Barclays Customer Service tends to be very rude, the personal bankers are always in a 'rush/hurry' to quickly get rid of you. They are also very un-helpful in that they tend to ask a lot ...

Barclays Bank current account Set up unwanted direct debits. Held authorised direct debits to get charges. Arrogant customer service advisors. Some advisors state that telephone banking is only available for certain accounts, others deny this. Money supposedly paid into account missing. Cannot stres ...
