“5 Weeks for a Fridge-Freezer Delivery?!!!!”

Do yourselves a huge favour and stay away from ordering white goods from John Lewis....like anything larger than a handbag john lewis makes you wait and wait and wait....they said 3 weeks for delivery...called customer service - absolutely useless. “The John Lewis Customer Service Myth.”

Just dealt with John Lewis Customer service for a PC repair. they are appalling. Months to get a simple repair fixed, no updates and they dont have a clue on what customer service is. We thought we'd grabbed a bargain wardrobe for our 2 year old daughter's bedroom when we found one reduced from £300 to £150 in the sales. “Disaster dryer buying experience”

“Terrible”

Tried to buy a £239 Magimix from John Lewis online on boxing day with money I had been given for Christmas. It never arrived, call centre staff didn't care and didn't have the authority to do anything - I phoned 8 times over 2 weeks, each time notes were written on the account and a supervisor "would call me back by 2pm". “Collecting old appliances”

John Lewis refused to collect my old American style fridge freezer on the grounds it could be heavy and would require 3 people to carry. However they where very happy to deliver a new one! “Flawless service, fast delivery, never let me down!”

I have been browsing through the reviews below and I must say I am quite surprised as I have only had good experience with ordering from John Lewis. The last two orders I've placed were on the 18/12/13 and 20/12/13. “The right hand doesn't know what the left is doing”

A few years ago we bought a tumble dryer from John Lewis online. Luckily we took out a 5 year warranty as it broke down twice. The second time it was written off and a very helpful member of staff called me to explain, and gave me the number to call once I had decided upon the replacement appliance within the specified budget. My wife ordered a pair of Rockport shoes for me for Xmas. They turn out to be size 9 USA not UK, so are, predictably, too small. No mention of this on the website so I am, presumably, meant to divine it psychically. I now have the choice of waiting in all day for a courier to turn up, followed by a wait of up to 2 weeks for a refund, or schlepping through to Sheffield, and wasting half a day plus fuel used. “Click & Collect - Just a Joke”

Ordered and paid for a microwave on the basis of 'click & Collect' the next day. Received message next day saying item was not available for collection but may be later that daybor the following day, and they would inform us of progress. “Worst jewellery department in South London”

My fiancee and I went looking for an engagement ring for her on 28th December. We had £250 in JL vouchers and were happy to spend a max of £2000. “Shabby service”

I ordered specifically from John Lewis because of the click and collect service so I could pick it up the next day. I received an email at 1.53pm to say that my order would not be available for pick up at 2pm as promised - no reason given. I can call them, but its a premium rate number - why should I??
