“Added Care Rip Off!!!!”

John Lewis are consistently charging £50.00 for Added Care insurance on cameras that fall below the £1,000 price mark, even though their insurance team have told them several times that it is £40.00 My husband and I have both bought cameras this year at John Lewis. One for around £980.00 and the other for £975.00. Both times we were quoted £50.00 for 3 years Added Care. However, when you ring the insurers direct, it is only £40.00. “Always Knowingly Lied”

Found lovely sofa's in store, wow!!!!!!! how much????? I know! Reputation built off price matching for the same goods. Found the only manufacturer of this sofa in the country, British built quality for many years. That company provided me all their suppliers for that product round the country from their website. “Ridicolous”

I have experienced a very bad customer service from John Lewis in Oxford street as I brought in my laptop to repair and they called me asking to go in store so that they can offer me something in change as still under warranty. I moved home in March this year. I thought - I'll buy my stuff from John Lewis, because I'll get quality products and great customer service if things go wrong. I did eventually get my money back on the fridge/freezer, which John Lewis admitted was faulty, but I lost-out on the cost of having the doors reversed. It's just a shame I had to go through so much hassle to get a resolution, and lies from customer service staff along the way.

I made an online order for the Terence Conran nest of tables, delivery said within 7 days, the payment was taken but 3 months and 8 phone calls later I still haven't received the items or any correspondence concerning the delivery, several promises of phone calls back were advised but never happened. “Truly one of the worst retailers around”

John Lewis used to be so good and definitely a leader in the retailing business in the UK. Do you understand the nature of delivering? You need to drive a van, you need hands to lift items, you need to give the current customer attention. Why do you assume there is a direct line to the couriers brain where his whereabouts can be picked from his head as soon as you demand it?

Ordered a sofa on the 15th July.... Have spoken with over 12 different people at John Lewis, half of which could hardly string a sentence together.... None of them, and I mean none of them could give me an accurate date for delivery or indeed tell me where the sofa is!!! Sofa's do not come with tracking devices. Naturally they go from transit between distribution centres and service buildings.. At which point they are not immediately apparent.
I'm not sure if your 'string a sentence' together insult is accent or intelligence related, though it's personal and unnecessary.

My all-time favourite ad is the John Lewis snowman who journeys through a blizzard to get a gift for his other half from a distant John Lewis store. It kills me. But now I know it wasn't the power of love that motivated him.
