    Bought a John Lewis washing machine last year. It broke down and it has taken me over a month of pleading, shouting and cajoling and still no working washing machine. The Machine is only a year old and already parts are unavailable. Waiting to receive replacement which could take another 7-10 days. ...

    I have ordered £2500 of furniture which was due to be delivered in 2-4 weeks.
    - I was contacted by John Lewis after 4 weeks to inform me one of the pieces of furniture was not corrected delivered to the warehouse so there would be further unknown delays.

    John Lewis seems to be going rapidly downhill.

    The operator told me that their customer service is now farmed out to a company operating from Glasgow.

    This company doesn't seem to realise that customers are happy to pay extra with John Leiws because they know thinkthat they will get good service ...

    We ordered a television from John Lewis, delivered bang on time. Excellent service, excellent value, would use JL every time. Excellent free delivery service.

    I recently bought a vacuum cleaner from John Lewis direct. I didn't opt for Next Day delivery as I wanted to save some money so I choose Free delivery between 1-5 days. It arrived in less than 24hrs. And everything is perfect. I'd use them again and again.

    I found the service to be unreliable and experienced poor communication. 3 out of 3 named day delivery orders failed to be delivered on the correct day. I had to chase this up myself on each occasion and was reimbursed by small amount for huge inconvenience and disappointment
