“Ruined wedding experience !”

Wedding list for my daughter ... Guests would order and the product would then be discontinued ! Failed delivery three times of the wedding gifts and THEN admission that all wedding presents had gone missing ! Lots of phone calls to retrieve gifts or change into vouchers ... Completely ruined the whole experience . Customer service and complaints department very poor response . Offered £150 voucher which considering what they made from this sale was an insult . “Total Nightmare...Incompetance At Its Best”

I ordered 2 items on black Friday, I then get a call next day from John Lewis's credit check department. The lady asked me my bank details and said no problem we will sort delivery.

I then get an email the next day cancelling my order.I ring up to ask why and they said I failed credit checks, I said okay, can I reorder? No I'm told, the items you want are no longer in stock, ring back in a month and order it then as we can't accept preorders.  I say okay, but are you going to honour black Friday

“Customer service or customer fob off?”

To cut a long story short (4 weeks, 2 hrs of phone calls, 2 emails and a 40 mile round trip to store ...... So far) John Lewis seem to have lost my order, which I placed online and paid using a gift card. They are claiming they have no record of it and refuse to reissue the gift card, which we subsequently threw away. “Added Care Rip Off!!!!”

John Lewis are consistently charging £50.00 for Added Care insurance on cameras that fall below the £1,000 price mark, even though their insurance team have told them several times that it is £40.00 My husband and I have both bought cameras this year at John Lewis. One for around £980.00 and the other for £975.00. Both times we were quoted £50.00 for 3 years Added Care. However, when you ring the insurers direct, it is only £40.00. “Always Knowingly Lied”

Found lovely sofa's in store, wow!!!!!!! how much????? I know! Reputation built off price matching for the same goods. Found the only manufacturer of this sofa in the country, British built quality for many years. That company provided me all their suppliers for that product round the country from their website. I have experienced a very bad customer service from John Lewis in Oxford street as I brought in my laptop to repair and they called me asking to go in store so that they can offer me something in change as still under warranty. I moved home in March this year. I thought - I'll buy my stuff from John Lewis, because I'll get quality products and great customer service if things go wrong. I did eventually get my money back on the fridge/freezer, which John Lewis admitted was faulty, but I lost-out on the cost of having the doors reversed. It's just a shame I had to go through so much hassle to get a resolution, and lies from customer service staff along the way.

I made an online order for the Terence Conran nest of tables, delivery said within 7 days, the payment was taken but 3 months and 8 phone calls later I still haven't received the items or any correspondence concerning the delivery, several promises of phone calls back were advised but never happened. “Truly one of the worst retailers around”

John Lewis used to be so good and definitely a leader in the retailing business in the UK.
