You have to fight to get to someone who cares when you call the American Express Centurion Black customer service.
Its seems you get the same service as Platinum users
Only ever had an upgrade once with a very expensive hotel
Travel service is terrible, they often just look at Expedia.
People do not ...

I down graded back to the Platinum card, and frankly a Green card would be just as handy. The only advantage to the Platinum card is not that it has some kind of prestige, but its the airline points that makes me keep this one.
Finally, I don't really care which card I use now, its only a tool ...

In fact, I am beginning to HATE Amex and would ad ...

this is a great card to have but now since you are not invited the platinum american express is just as good, they should lower the annual membership to $ 2.000.00 for at least a two yr. memebership.

American Express Centurion Black is the best card and the only card I use. I don't care so much about the attention.
However the extended warranty, replacements on things that break or my wife misplaces, upgrades on flights (to first class) and hotels ... the list continues.
If a restaurant does ...

I live in the Republic of Ireland (Co. Clare) and have the AMEX Centurion (Titanium) Euro Card. I find that the travel upgrades and benefits easily cover its annual cost and the Membership Rewards programme is excellent.Travel service isn't great. Outside UK services are fairly limited. Centurion te ...

Let's be realistic. Of course the American Express Centurion Black's main appeal is its exclusivity.

I was invited to join this program a while back. I am concert pianist and my revenue/ income is around 150K a year -- that is given a good year on tour and before life-need-deductions. At first, I was extremely excited to have -- more like possess -- this card. I will admit, however, it it did stir ...

I am stunned that so many people claim that merchants etc. have reacted with "shock and awe" when presented with the Centurion card. I've never had anyone say a word not in NYC restaurants, not in Tiffany's, not in the Four Seasons and not even at Virgin Records.
Some people seem to need a lot of ...
