“can not be used on cats. ok on dogs.”

Written on: 16/09/2012

Everyone said that they used it on Cats and Kittens. Cats are allergic to ingredients. And people stupid enough to put over the counter flea products on kittens or puppies under 12 weeks of age are at fault. Puppies and kittens must be wormed and flead by a VET ONLY. Cats should have cat friendly flea products and dogs can have dog friendly. Bit of advice. - do research on ingredients before you apply them to your pet. I sprayed my dogs with the all in one last night. They seem fine but I don't… Read Full Review

“THIS WILL KILL YOUR CAT”

Written on: 07/08/2012 by BobMartinKills (2 reviews written)

This has to be, beyond doubt, the worst company I have ever dealt with. After treating my perfectly healthy 1 year old cat with FleaClear Spot On, she was vomiting, lethargic and wouldn’t move. As I was going to work, my friend took her to an emergency vet who was shocked to hear she had been treated with Bob Martin products. She was treated for a number of complaints including severe dehydration and was kept for observation. 5 days of worry later and £320 lighter, I complained to Bob… Read Full Review

“AVOID!!!!!”

Written on: 02/08/2012 by Laurelu (1 review written)

I highly discourage anyone to buy this product. It contains an ingredient called "Pyrethrins" which is toxic, and in some cases, fatal, to cats and other animals. If you'd like more information on this I should refer you to wikipedia's Pyrethrin page, under the sub-heading of Toxiciy. Not only if you for the sake of your pets, but if your household containts children, pregnant or elderly family members I would be very careful when using over-the-counter flea treatments. For my own experience I… Read Full Review

Hi. I did read your story and I must say that I almost lost my cat. I through it was some virus but after reading this I am sure it was that Bob martin staff. He got it and problems start after 3 days. As he wasnt insured so we paid £ 886 in total to keep him alive and still not sure if he will be ok. Did you take them to the court?

“Do not use Dr Martin flea treatment”

I used this for my cat and the next day saw he had got a bald patch where the treatment was put and he had a scar - he seems find in himself and on seeing the reviews feel we have "got off lightly" - its disgusting that companies are allowed to sell such products when they are clearly unsafe… Read Full Review

All animals like people can be allergic to something. In your cats case unfortunately it was lethal but it's like peanuts on us you wouldn't know till you tried it.

“Cat Foaming at the mouth from Bob Martin Flea Spray”

Written on: 10/01/2012 by richrich123 (2 reviews written)

I brought a bottle of Bob Martin Silent Flea Spray for cats from PetSmart as one of our 2 cats was scratching a lot. We followed all the steps and while it says you can do up to 16 pumps of spray on the cat per treatment, we only did about 8 as she was not very happy being sprayed. We brushed it in and towled her off as directed on the bottle and went to bed an hour or so later. About 1 hr later I heard noises of lapping and licking, I went out to find her dribbling, foam coming from her mouth… Read Full Review

“Bob Martin Flea Collar”

Written on: 15/09/2011

I bought a bob martin flea collar from the supermarket thinking that this would be a safe, easy way to keep fleas at bay. Shortly after putting my cats nice new red BM flea collars on one of my cats started to scratch manically, then it was following me around mewing for ages. I presumed this was because it wanted to go out. After that came the problems breathing and it just sat on the floor panting like a little pooche. I didnt wait to see if anything else was to follow and immediately… Read Full Review

“good flea prevention”

Written on: 15/09/2011

Two years ago i discovered that my cat had fleas and i tried this treatment as it is cheaper than frontline (who wouldnt). It did not work as i'd hoped, by killing the fleas, but I realised later that this was because i'd purchased a spot on preventative, not a killer. I have used the preventative drops for the past two years with no problems at all. I have a stray cat that i've taken in that has fleas and have used the 'double action' spot on drops on him, am now waiting to see the results… Read Full Review

“Bob Martin Spot on Flea and Tick control. ”

Written on: 15/08/2011 by RW28 (2 reviews written)

This product is absolutely rubbish!!! Do NOT waste your money, it does not work. Have been using this product to the letter of the instructions, and yet to my absolute horror, I discovered on Saturday that my two cats and my lounge carpet are infested with fleas. I switched to BM after using Frontline with absolutely no problems. I am at uni, and don't have a lot of cash to play with so thought I would save myself a few quid by getting this stuff from the supermarket. Needless to say, I will… Read Full Review

“Just didn't work”

Written on: 12/08/2011 by Grissy (2 reviews written)

I applied Bob Martin "spot on double action" to my cat a week ago (before seeing the reviews i must add) and nothing happened at all.. No severe reactions however no killing of fleas. We brushed her out last friday night - 2 dead - 2 living, saturday 0 dead 1 living and as the week has gone on of course the amounts of living fleas are increasing. I've spoken to the vet who is going to give us some prescription stuff but its worth noting she winced when i said Bob Martin and told us its not wise… Read Full Review

“Waste of money.”

Written on: 03/08/2011

Bought the Bob Martin worm treatment for my two cats, you sprinkle it onto the food and even though i tried it in tiny doses they both refused to touch their food (and they would normally eat ANYTHING!) i even tried tiny amounts of it in tuna which is their absolute favourite but still no joy. I then wrote to the company as they have a customer help address on the box and enclosed the box with a full unopened sachet (there were two in the box)and my receipt. They replied and basically said i… Read Full Review

“BAN THIS PRODUCT!!!”

I read on the pack it says t states on the back that:- ~ Each treatment kills fleas and ticks on contact for up to 4 weeks. ~ Breaks the flea lifecycle. ~ For dogs and puppies from 2 weeks and up to 15kg. ~ Kills 98% of fleas in 24 hours. So i bought this for my 9 week old puppy on the 18th of july 2011, and on the 19th of july 2011 at 10:45pm my puppy bella started having seizures! i stayed up with her all night to make sure she was ok, so poor bella was having fits all night to the point i… Read Full Review

“nade cat very ill”

Written on: 18/07/2011

Used on 10 year old cat, immediately started foaming at the mouth and moaning as if in pain. 24 hours later, still foaming and the amount of drool only increased. Took her to the vet and they said there is an ingredient in the cheaper stuff that is incredibly lethal and reactions are common. He said they're just best to avoid. Been given medicine to calm her reactions down, but she is not herself. I would avoid any sprays and products of this type and go for something better established: front… Read Full Review
