Ordered a type of decorating filler from the Homebase website as it was not available in my local shops. They delivered something totally different. I phoned customer service and, despite being repeatedly told that they valued my custom, I was kept on hold for over 15 minutes. I was told then that the correct item would reach me in 48hours, the incorrect item would be collected at the same time and I would receive a call to let me know when the courier would be arriving. “disgraceful argos/homebase delivery”

Not one to write reviews normally, but I received a text message to say items which my husband agreed to have delivered mid february are to be delivered 20/1/14!!!!!! I have been kept waiting now for 30 mins on mobile phone as I don't have access to an landline. It's disgraceful. “Absolutely terrible customer service”

I ordered some floorboards from their website at the end of December. They were in stock and available for delivery within 14 days. 14 days passed, the order was not shipped and I was never updated about it. Emails were never replied besides the automated "We have received your query" response. Calling their support number put me on hold for over 15 minutes (a 0845 number) before I got through to a member of staff. I was then told that the floorboards are out of stock! “Homebase repeatedly fail to deliver goods ”

I bought a ceiling light after seeing it displayed in-store. It was displayed complete with led bulbs. I checked the product box before purchase and it informed me it came with bulbs. I assumed these to be like the ones on display. When I opened the box at home they were not leds. This is wilful deceit. I have emailed homebase twice now and received no reply. Unfortunately for you this is NOT DECEIT stores use LED bulbs in their displays because they use LESS power AND last LONGER i would say DONT assume in future

“They take your money but they don't deliver”

I ordered and paid for a dining table and 6 chairs on 23rd December. On 11th January I was contacted to be told that the table had been discontinued and was no longer available. Because I could not find another table I liked, I asked for my money back and have been told that this will take up to 5 working days, by which time Homebase will have had my money for nearly 4 weeks. “Unreasonable Delivery Time - Over 3 months”

Ordered and paid for on September 3rd Dining Table with 6 chairs, 2 Sofas, Coffee Table and Lamp Table was told delivery would be 6 weeks which was fine as furniture for new apartment. “Unable to Compete”

I ordered a Franke stainless steel sink top on a 20% off day the net cost was £146. The quoted delivery period expired so I requested a refund. I then obtained the same sink from Screwfix online for £99 next day delivery. Furthermore, the waste fitting from Homebase was charged at an additional cost even though Franke include this with the sink top. “Bad, but then came good!”

Bought tiles online, had to wait almost 3 weeks for delivery which I wasn't very impressed with but then I missed the delivery! Phoned up the next day and was told someone would contact me to re arrange delivery but it could take up to another 4 weeks! 45 minuted later the door bell went and I was shocked to find a Argos truck outside with my tiles in it! Reserved in the morning and faced with excuses in the evening, Orpington branch, saying they were short staffed and busy yet the store was empty.
