“Diabolical delivery service !!”

I have been waiting now since Saturday 19 April for a delivery of tiles. Still I am waiting despite reassurances from some very helpful members of staff at Homebase. It appears that their deliveries are made by DHL who are unable to meet their own delivery arrangements despite their letters, phone call and texts! Bought two tins of satinwood paint. At checkout they were placed in small very thin carrier bag. Later when the bag was picked up the paint tin immediately ripped through the bag and fell, spilling out over a car park. Tried ordering two baths on line. Email said one price...web order page said another. When order went through Homebase took another £152 extra .. Called said we will refund. ...didn't bother. Called several times on Monday and after two very rude customer service I was told ... don't refunds on to card only done via cheque. Processing time is about 3 weeks then postage. My mum bought a safety plug, recommended when she bought her a lawnmower at New Southgate Homebase on Monday March 31st. She is 88 and had my brother with her. The plug had instructions that said it was important to test it first. You had to press an orange button and see an orange light (very tiny.) “Nice Garden Centre, awful store”

Bought a garden bench out there today which was in my opinion of poor quality and well over-priced. Said home delivery was not available on it but wouldn't give me a clear reason why. I'd spent £64.99 and other shops will give you home delivery if you only buy a tenner worth of stuff. The store itself (Inverness retail park) was quite grotty and degraded. This is a good reason why people should not buy furniture from places like Homebase. I would advise check out Baltic Gardens Ltd handmade furniture, very good quality and you get your bencehs or garden tables for rest of your life!

“Incompetent Management Means Terrible Delivery”

Ordered my furniture online 31st December. Had a call on 16th January to say my order was ready for delivery and offered a date of 26th February. After insisting on talking to a manager, was offered 29th January & accepted. Few days later received letter promising delivery on 22nd February. I am utterly appalled and highly frustrated at the delivery service of Homebase. You would think that a large and successful company like Homebase would understand a customers delivery requirements. I purchased kitchen and bedroom furniture at the beginning of January. I even paid express delivery to ensure my goods were delivered within 2 to 3 weeks. most of the items eventually arrived on the 20th March (10 weeks later). “Never buy from Homebase again”

I have bought a kitchen and 2 bathrooms from Homebase, spending nearly £30k and they have failed on everything. The whole project was mismanaged, delivery times missed, wrong products delivered and wrong quantities. They also sold me a discontinued line without informing me, so when the vanity unit doors arrived broken, there is no replacement and I had to strip down the tiling of the bathroom again. “They sell faulty goods”

Thought at first that these lights looked gorgeous. Within weeks one of the bulbs had gone. Subsequently 2 more went within a month or two. Replaced the bulbs and the first bulb (which hasn't blown) will not work, my husband who started to train as an electrician years ago is convinced it is a loose connection as there is nothing wrong with the bulb. “Broken Doors Supplied and will not replace!”

I bought some French doors from homebase. We didn't have these installed straightaway as we needed the outside wall to be taken down, lintels put in and then rebuilt to leave a hole for the doors. Ordered Farrow and Ball paint with a promise of delivery withing 3 to 5 days. At 5 days still not dispatched.
