Whatever you do please heed the many bad reviews on Southall Travel; the customer service is appalling; this company watches out for itself first and the customer second; please do read the below as it will save you time and money if you avoid Southall Travel.
I booked flights with Southall Travel through Egypt Air on the 14th November 2010; on the 12th of February 2011, they called me saying I had to re schedule flights, mine were no longer available.

This company has many bad reviews, but I don't no why, as my flight I booked with them was fine. I recieved my eticket with the 24 hours as they stated. When I reconfirmed I got a response with in 36 hours and had no problem with my flights at all. I would definately book again with this company as there are cheap flights and excellent customer service with prompt responses to any queries!

Hey, I'm just back from a holiday in New York. I by mistake booked the holiday from Southall Travel first and then read the awful reviews, instead of reading the reviews first, which would of deffinately put me off Southall. i have recently travelled with southall travel to india and thanks to their inefficiency we missed our flight. they had made a mistake in booking ticket for our daughter and despite me telling them they assured everything is rectified and i should not worry. after missing my flight i have been trying to talk to them and no one is available to talk to me and i am promised call back and i am still waiting. i have booked throught southall travel and i requested a cot twice over the phone but this message did not get to kingfisher airlines and luckly i called up to double check it i found it that this was never requested

southall travel give good prices but sales agent you cant trust for everything they say as they need to achive a turnover to get the commission of 5% to 10% of gross profit

Would you as a tour operator have an iternary where your connecting flight is from another airport? Let me explain. Incoming flight to Charles de Gaulle, connecting flight from Orly Paris to London? DO NOT TRAVEL WITH SOUTHALL TRAVEL. I have booked with southall travel 3-4 times during last year but never satisfied with their services. Staff not friendly at all. Never received any reply from the management after sending email. I had to face unprofessional staff. It is happening quite regularly. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH SOUTHALL TRAVEL!!!!! They cancelled my return flight whilst I was on holiday without even telling me. They then refused to answer phone calls "The person responsible is not available" then told me I would get a full refund. When the refund came through it was £180 short. I have visited Asian thrice through Southall and using different airlines. So far so good.
But yes, they are not the most customer friendly, or customer caring as they sound. You do have to follow up with them on tickets reaching you.
They cannot be relied on to do the entire booking, You will have to see each flight yourself on the web (in case you have connecting flights), spell your name correctly and INSIST on them sending you an email with all your details before they confirm the flight… Read Full Review

Oh deary me - If you are reading this, then you are considering travelling/booking through Southall Travel and all I would like to say is please, please, please proceed with caution. Cheapness attracted us to this operator as I would imagine it does with most people, but look at the alternatives. I wish I had done. Our problems started almost immediately. Most of the agents are polite and friendly. Some (strangely enough this tends to be the female agents) however are very rude and patronising when you attempt to book their 'special offers' on their website. I needed to book last minute flights to Nepal, Southall Travel came up with the cheapest price on Air India.
I was a bit concerned as I saw a few negative reviews on this review website. Anyway, I decided to buy from Southall Travel.
My booking was taken by the very courteous and professional Mona, and I'd recommend anyone else booking tickets to ask to speak with her. She even gave me her direct line in case I need to chat about my flights.

Booked a flight for my wife to mumbai. As per southall and the email we received from them, my wife was allowed 1 inbound change free of charge.
However, when we wanted to amend the date by a few days, we were charged equivalent of £100 in Indian rupees. Air India advised us to take it up with southall travels as there was no way inbound change would be free of charge and there was no remarks on the booking to say so.

My experience of Southall Travel has been fine so far, I booked flights to India last week, I recieved the acknowledgement email straight away, and the e-tickets within 24 hrs as promised at the stated price.
I booked with this agent because they were reccomended by a friend who has used them previously without any problems.

we booked 2 return flights to capetown in september 2009 to travel in February 2010
in november 2009 we tried to book our seats and realised that we had been given the wrong return date
we contacted them and they made us pay an extra £250 each, total £500, to get the date that we thought we had already booked for the return flight
after protracted letters, we learnt, from the carrier not the agent that the airlines cost was £300, leaving £200 for the agent, on checking their own online… Read Full Review

Everyone stay well away from this company, booked a holiday early 2010 to Dubai using my visa debit to pay deposit, due to personal circumstances i cancelled the holiday 30th April and informed the company via 1st class royal mail recorded delivery as per instructions.
