I booked a flight with them and then had to cancel it. I am entitled to a refund after their £175 cancellation charges. Its been over 10 weeks now and still havent received the refund. Every time I call them they say its been processed and I should have received it by not. They have even wasted my time and insisted that I call my bank to find out, which I did. AVOID SOUTHALL TRAVEL AT ALL COSTS!!! BEWARE! This is by far the absolute worst travel organisation I have ever come across. I booked a flight from London to Sydney stopping in Taipei, once Southall Travel had my money they informed me that the flight would be London - Amsterdam - Taipei (12 hours) - Sydney. To cancel or change any details would result in a loss of several hundred pounds, which I now think would be preferable. I'm normally fairly hardy regarding budget travel, and will go to whoever is cheapest. But Southall Travel were absolutely terrible and I would never ever book with them again. The staff were short and rude throughout the booking process. But I found a flight, and arranged to book through them shortly before payday by paying a deposit of £175. I found out about them through their other website, cheapticket.co.uk... They are puting nice priced flights on their site which, by far, they are not able to deliver. This you will find out after calling them from abroad (Holland) on their costly number... but then they will tell you that after a certain date you will be able to get your desired flight for the advertised price... so after re-aranging your travelplans to meet the new dates you will call them (next day) again... only to find… Read Full Review

Disturbing reviews to read, however, I have only seen these after doing two bookings on two consecutive years. I cannot really fault Southall Travel. Good price, good communication, especially with 'Jeremy' with whom I have just booked another flight. It is difficult to really find a fault. Lucky twice?,....... I doubt it. This is the first time I have used this company after it was recommended to me from my brother. Initial response has been great, sales person 'Danny' was extremely helpful and they were £800.00 cheaper than the nearest cost for Singapore Air to NZ.
Having read some of the bad reviews I will make point of sending in a further reply but rigth now I am dead impressed on both value and customer care.

I have booked with Southall Travel for the best of 22 years - there have been some agents polite and some not. i just returned from new york recently, this time with virgin atlantic which was my first flight with them. although agent was helpful - they did not tell me anything about seat allocation which you have to do yourself or check-in on line otherwise you do not get the seat together (family seats) and you could be scattered around the plane. this happened to us although we had booked… Read Full Review

I have had terrible service from Southall Travel. Clearly these members are incompetent in their jobs. I have written to the Managing Director and failed to receive a response.
Southall Travel has one aim and that is to sell, sell and sell without due care and attention for the clients. When bookings result in complaints, nobody takes this forward. Staff members are very reluctant to give details of mangers. What are clients expected to do?

I booked a holiday in april 2011 online with my family i had spoked to customer service they told me that the hotel is a 4* but it was completley rubbish and they gave me a package including breakfast but their was nothing in the breakfast they told me that my hotel was 2 minuites walking distance from all shopping but it was 35 minuites. i advise everyone to never book their holiday with this company

This company has many bad reviews, but I don't no why, as my flight I booked with them was fine. I recieved my eticket with the 24 hours as they stated. When I reconfirmed I got a response with in 36 hours and had no problem with my flights at all. I would definately book again with this company as there are cheap flights and excellent customer service with prompt responses to any queries!

Hey, I'm just back from a holiday in New York. I by mistake booked the holiday from Southall Travel first and then read the awful reviews, instead of reading the reviews first, which would of deffinately put me off Southall. A week before my holiday I checked if my partner and I were on the flight, we were, I then checked if we were booked in for our stay and to my surprise we were. i have recently travelled with southall travel to india and thanks to their inefficiency we missed our flight. they had made a mistake in booking ticket for our daughter and despite me telling them they assured everything is rectified and i should not worry. after missing my flight i have been trying to talk to them and no one is available to talk to me and i am promised call back and i am still waiting. Would you as a tour operator have an iternary where your connecting flight is from another airport? Let me explain. Incoming flight to Charles de Gaulle, connecting flight from Orly Paris to London? DO NOT BOOK THROUGH SOUTHALL TRAVEL!!!!! They cancelled my return flight whilst I was on holiday without even telling me. They then refused to answer phone calls "The person responsible is not available" then told me I would get a full refund. When the refund came through it was £180 short. I have visited Asian thrice through Southall and using different airlines. So far so good.
But yes, they are not the most customer friendly, or customer caring as they sound. You do have to follow up with them on tickets reaching you.
They cannot be relied on to do the entire booking, You will have to see each flight yourself on the web (in case you have connecting flights), spell your name correctly and INSIST on them sending you an email with all your details before they confirm the flight… Read Full Review

Oh deary me - If you are reading this, then you are considering travelling/booking through Southall Travel and all I would like to say is please, please, please proceed with caution. Cheapness attracted us to this operator as I would imagine it does with most people, but look at the alternatives. I wish I had done. Our problems started almost immediately.
