Haven Devon cliffs caravan park,Worst waste of money holiday we've ever been on.
The description in the brochure is very misleading, we were debating between a Haven holiday, which we had never been on before and renting a cottage,we so wish we had taken the cottage!,the reason we decided on the Haven holiday was the promise of kids clubs and entertainment, well the kids clubs are a joke,1 hour of badly organised games in the morning for the 5-11 year olds, and about 10 mins colouring with 1… Read Full Review

The seaweed beach was a BIG disappointment. We have never seen so much seaweed on a beach in our lives. This was across the whole beach and made swimming/water sports difficult.
The on-site kids activities were over subscribed so you have to be really organized to get on them.
And remember your ear plugs to dull the sound of the military firing range next door.
This said our kids did have a good time !!… Read Full Review

Went to Devon Cliffs for a sun break Sept 2008 and are going again in Sept this year with the Mail holidays. Am wriitng this after reading some of the reviews on this site which in my opinion are a little unfair. The location of the site is really good and I thought that the entertainment complex was well planned out - the bars were what you would expect them to be at a complex such as this. We used this site as a base . Foud the site clean, quiet at night, caravan was clean, could have done… Read Full Review

Over the past 20 years we have stayed at Devon Cliffs on 7 occasions; this time with our 3 year old Grandson. Haven are to be applauded for spending to upgrade the site, however, what they have in fact done is created a monster. The site is too big. Far too many caravans, so impersonal now and of course the facilities provided, especially in the entertainment complex just are not adequate for the volume of people. We have always upgraded the accommodation and have been very pleased with the… Read Full Review

went for a weeks family holiday 6th June, this is our 3rd Haven site, and can't fault the kids entertainment, it's brill, we have to children aged 4 and 2 and they love it. Only trouble is you need to be in the show bar by about 5 to ensure you get a good table at the front to watch the kids on the dance floor so you don't panic you can't see them all night. Ladies don't bother packing your heels, as a few slopes to go up and down, not good when carrying the little ones back after the shows!… Read Full Review

Just returned This weekend from a great, long weekend at DC courtesy of Sun Holidays.
Check in was quick and easy, Receptionists were helpful, Caravan was nice, but why oh why dont they provide a toaster and microwave as standard?
For the time of year, waking up in the morning was freezing! and a quick dash to the fire was in order. Maybe the vans are not insulated or double glazed? Our van was placed on a terraced area, though not a problem for active families it would prove difficult to… Read Full Review

I love this park at Devon Cliffs with Haven Holidays, I went two years ago and am going back this year. It is good fun and if you get passes swimming is a great bargain. Remember to take your basketball/football, the all weather sports courts are good fun! Make sure you like this type of holiday before you book, mostly for families with kids… Read Full Review

Overall holiday was good, used Devon Cliffs site as a base rather than using the facilities on site. Went to a few places around the area, and found them to be brilliant.
personally i wouldnt go to this particular park again, but cannot fault the Haven experience, as i have been to the Haven in north wales and find it a much better park.
Was upgraded to gold and found it a really good caravan to be in, everything was there… Read Full Review

I had never been to a haven site before. the site is huge and clean. On arrival eventually found reception where staff were professional and helpful. We hired our caravan privately and were not disappointed with nice sea views and immaculate interior, equipped with everything necessary. Our holiday was in may and weather was terribly windy/rainy for first few days and needed heating on. We had gas fire in lounge and (thank goodness) electric heaters in hallway, main bedroom and bathroom. We… Read Full Review

I read some of the comments and went to Devon Cliffs last week (11 May) with some trepidation...... but to my amazement it was lovely. We are a young couple with no children and had a great time. The caravan (a superior plus) was located on "The Terrace" it was well equipped and had wonderful sea views. It is a huge park but it was still quiet, admittedly it may be due to the time of year. I cant comment on the onsite entertainment/bars as we didnt use them but the pools looked lovely and… Read Full Review

Just returned from our first visit to Devon Cliffs. It was a late season break so we we did not expect good weather. On booking in we were placed in a caravan dirty and smelly and certainly not to the top standard we had paid for. Complained and were placed in a private good standard van. Staff were rude and kept us waiting with my 9 month old grandaughter for over 45 minutes before relocation.
Third day my daughter had her purse stolen in the amusement arcade with £170 and a £300 + mobile… Read Full Review

On arriving, I accidentally paid for 2 weeks passes as I did not intend to use the facilities for the second week. Despite this, reception would not give me a refund until the end of the 1st week. However, they refused to give me a refund until I kicked up a massive stink in front of new arrivals eventually leading to me receiving it.
2 The site has now got far too big with too many caravans I feel.
3 Drinks were expensive for me
4 Both halls had no air conditioning or if they did, they did not… Read Full Review

If you have kids and you want a cheap holiday either do not go - or - go with the understanding that you will have to be tough and say 'no' to your kids about 100 times a day! (though of course - if you just use it as a 'cheap base' and plan ahead - not to be in the 'lose all of your dosh centre' and to really explore Devon - it could work out as a good holiday)
If you can't be bothered to exlpore beautiful Devon and really unique little villages and shops, then go to Haven as bourne leisure… Read Full Review
