Lovely location in East Devon. Reception seemed to be closed very early which was unhelpful. Entertainment very good albeit club (Capones) was very crowded - on our second night the upstairs club was closed for 'owners' only which added to the overcrowding in Capones. The entertainment complex was very noisy and busy with arcades, bars, etc all crammed into one area.I was astonished to see helicopter rides taking place most of the day Saturday - the noise and smell of fuel was awful especially… Read Full Review

A really wonderful park in a beautiful location. Lots of hills but by its very name it suggests this!! Staff were fantastic all polite and very helpfull; funstars, bar staff and even security were first class.
My first "caravan" holiday, well done haven!!!
Only wine was that we had to leave accomodation by 10am… Read Full Review

I recently stayed in a "deluxe" caravan, i wasnt expecting too much, however i must say that i was disgusted when i saw the state of the caravan, the carpet has filthy and hadnt been hoovered, the chairs at the table were covered in stains, the blinds were filthy so much so tht the slates were stickin together, the dirty bedding from the pervious occupants was left on the beds in one of the twin rooms, although the other 2 rooms had fresh bedding, the freezer didnt work and was full of mouldy… Read Full Review

Stayed at Devon Cliffs for a week in September and had a premium caravan. I wasn't expecting too much, but have been pleasantly surprised. The caravan was clean, the bedding all in good order. We had to hire a high chair, which was fine. During our stay we had to call maintainance as the oven would not stay on, a member of staff came to look at it in the evening and a gas engineer fixed it the next morning by 10.00am.
The park itself is very hilly and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with… Read Full Review

I stayed in Devon Cliffs for a long weekend back in April but have only just found this site to review it.
All I can say is - go here at your peril! I've stayed in many caravan sites in the last few years and this is the worst, I wouldn't come back here if they paid me!
In the first couple of minutes of unloading our suitcases we found a few dozen ants around the living area before we tracked down the source to the pipes under the kitchen sinks - "infestation" is too mild a word for what we… Read Full Review

Arrived back from devon cliffs on Friday 10th Sept after 4 nights. I thought the accomodation was very poor, wasnt cleaned properly I thought this was due to us having a pet that the caravan was shabby but having spoken to other guests who didnt have a pets they said the same. We couldnt eat in the caravan as it smelt terrible, we were pleased we brought out own bedding!! Entertainment was ok but it was the same everynight. My 2 year old loved the soft play but found this to get quite ruff… Read Full Review

A few weeks ago me and my family went to devon cliffs, only to find that the caravan we was in was tiny and very poor for the price we paid. The entertainment was all about children, nothing for adults or teenagers, only a disco at night for about 30 mintues and by then we was to tired to join in! Although the food at the mash and barrel was good, and the service was quick, there is to many other things that are not up to what you would expect. I highly doubt I'll be returning to Devon again… Read Full Review

Okay, this is my honest opinion of Devon cliffs holiday complex.
If you suffer from bad legs or back, then forget it. Its all hilly.
We had a standard caravan and had to suffer a blocked sink and toilet all week. Caravan hadn`t been cleaned properly to the extent that the previous tenants food stuff was still in the cupboards. Toilet still had stained toilet roll in it. Obviously because it wouldn`t flush preperly. All complaints fell on deaf ears. We had to used a bowl of water to fluch… Read Full Review

After booking 1 No 12foot premium caravans and 1No prestige caravan at a premium cost of £800 per week each we expected a decent quality of accommodation. Whilst booking these caravans we were assured that the both caravans were amongst the best quality on the site. 1 caravan was in all fairness very well presented however the other caravan was utterly appalling. The caravan had obviously not been cleaned, it was extremely dusty, the smell from the toilets was vile, and obviously had not… Read Full Review

Just got back from a week, on arrival the staff were very nice and helpfull. On arriving at our caravan we found the door open which we later found would not lock. The caravan was dusty and not very clean and the draws and cupboards still had the previous poeples food in there.
We went to the club house at about 6 to relax and eat and found it far to over crowded with people sitting on the stairs, this seemed to be a regular thing for all the entertainment. The funstars tried there hardest but… Read Full Review

Thought we would have a holiday in UK this year, partner fancied Devon, so with two teenage children searched the internet to find the appropriate site, thought Devon Cliffs ticked all the boxes.......WRONG!!!! If you own a caravan then it might be better for you, if you dont then your just a mug who can spend £600.00 ++++ on a caravan and not care!!!! The site was terrible, the beach is disgusting, the seaweed problem is so bad and it smells of vomit, took four days before they even attempted… Read Full Review

a honest review from last week 1st/7th aug.private caravan was really good.great location, but there is a lot of caravans quashed together/very poor locations.beach is awful.the smell of the rotting seaweed made my boy go pale!they had a jcb on the beach to try and get rid of it,but still its a poor beach.go to exmouth 5mins drive away or walk round on beach very nice clean beach.kids loved it.entertaiment was good in parts but the hard sell every 5 minites of cd's,photos'ballons etc was… Read Full Review

We as a family Just spent a week on the site which is very very large and spread out as well as very hilly in places.
The check-in was very confused and we handed the key at 3pm and went to get in to the caravan it was not cleaned and we waited for another hour +
Capones club, the entertainment is OK even for the kids, but, it's far too loud ,too hot, overcrowded and bar service very slow and sometimes rude because they are short handed. Staff in the on site mash and barrel resturant were in… Read Full Review

Sometimes it is luck of the draw with caravan quality, ours was deluxe and was superb.Swimming pool lovely with decent outside pools and slides.
Entertainment for children is great starting at 9.30am until 3pm and then about 6pm in the evening until whenever you want,it is best to stay in ne venue once you are in there as it does get busy and tables can be hard to obtain.Bugsy's is best for 5-11 year olds and I don't think you can better it anywhere in GB.
Be open minded and tolerant and you and… Read Full Review

Just returned home (Thank God)from this so called premier park, If we never go there again it will be too soon. Our first holiday to a 'Holiday camp'so didn't really know what to expect. But at the very least we did expect cleanliness, and for the price we paid - £1300 for a week, we didn't expect a dirty caravan, kids toys found under settee, dirty grimey work tops, carpet that had not seen a vacuum cleaner in ages. filthy TV screen etc etc. And to top it all, we all came down midweek… Read Full Review

When we arrived we found that we could not park our car close to out caravan and we had to park in a small car park away from the caravan. When we got inside I was dissapointed with the size and cleanliness of our deluxe carvan. When we opened cupboards in the kitchen a foul smell would come out and all of the cutlery, plates and cups were filthy and had a lingering bad smell. I went to use a bowl from the cupboard to prepare food, only to find that there were remains of food and… Read Full Review
