I just purchased a 2000 Civic SIR it is silver and it is lowered with 17 inch rims which makes it handle even better. I love the car more then life it self but only thing that I am dissapointed with is the low end torque, if you wanna race a guy at the lights and he catches you off gaurd you are do ...

I would recommend this car to any enthusiast, it takes a close second behind the integra gs-r only because of lack of torque and refinement. if you are choosing between the si and the sir, pick the sir. your gonna get a more potent powerplant (b16a), close ratio transmission, uprated suspension, 15" ...

After installing a cold air (a must) a cat back exhaust, headers and type R cams,,,you will be rolling from 160HP to approx. 195 in no time.

    The new V2 AEM ...

Overall the car meets all expectations, but because of the ecu some mod's can't be accomplished such as the Throttle body spacer. The spacer cause's the ecu to go nuts and the check engine light always comes up and it even ruins your idle control valve and sensors. So buyer beware don't trust any ma ...

I am the proud owner of a 2000 Civic SiR (Silver) and am very happy with it. It does lack a little bit in the tourque department, but let the V-Tec kick in and the car flies. Above 5k, it pulls like a mad man until the rev govenor kicks out at 8200. I know (won't say how) that the car will get to a ...

I have the export version sir Honda Civic hatchback with 160hp engine. It has so far proven to be a hassle free car that you can THRASH all day and not have to worry about getting to work later. And i've had it for 6 years, ringing it's little neck every day! For the price, it was pretty much the fa ...

I've just recently bought this sweet car: 1998 civic VTi-R (the Australian equivalent to an Sir) - 160Hp 1.6L DOHC VTEC. It goes like a bat outta hell if ur in the sweet VTEC zone.....but sometimes the lack of torque is annoying -downshifts are a common occurrence (when maybe they shouldnt be necess ...

Masters: The first thing you should do is put in an AEM cold air intake. Don't was money on short ram intakes as they don't do anything. The CAI will add 8hp to the wheels. Next you ahve to do ur exhaust and make sure it is full cat-back. This adds about 4hp to the wheels. After that do whatev ...

The Honda Civic SiR is a true Hot hatch that did not need 2.0lt or a Turbo! It could compete in all categories with all similarly priced hot hatches on performance, price, practicality, brakes and handling. It still competes - look at the stats 10 years on. Clio sport, Golf VR6, Golf turbo - nothing ...
