I adore Chocolate Labrador Retrievers. I have 3- an 8, 6, and 3 year old. I couldn't find a better dog. The first couple of weeks are usually tough and take a great deal of time.
My labs are great with childern.

Chocolate Labradors have got to be the best dogs you can get! They are typically laid back like most labs, but no matter how well trained they are you can never be quite sure who has the upper hand.
Our old Gun dog Rusty was highly trained but still an excellent family dog who we loved dearly unti ...

We have had Kevin (I know!), Chocolate Labradors, since 8 weeks and he is now 6 months. Despite our doubts about having a second dog - we already have a Springer - we would not be without him for anything. He needs attention, regular exercise, plenty to chew and to be kept away from the bins. He l ...

We are now on our second choccy. Our sadly missed Caels lived for 16 years, bringing great joy to our family. After a year we decided to get another dog and of course chose another choccy. She is a loving 18 month old now. Smart as a cookie, easy to train, loves her family as we love her, all water ...

Had a Chocolate Labradors for 20 months. She has been unfortunate to have been born with an undershot jaw and allergy to dust mites! But I would not swap her for any dog at all. She is loving and cute, likes to play and chew toys. Has wrecked my garden with digging little holes and eating plants ...

We rescued an adult 2-3 chocolate lab from animal welfare organisation so never had any chewing or digging.
Some of the bad points may be associated with his unknown past .
This animal will not be ignored !! And so he shouldn't be!!
Is huge hence named mac as in the truck.
Loves all things h ...

Our first Chocolate Labrador is without doubt the finest breed of all dog we ever owned. ( English & Welsh Springers as well as Clumber Spaniel and German Shepard. All loved and cared for)
Toys and training will eliminate destructive chewing. Socialising with other dogs in puppy stage essential.

Chocolate Labradors are wonderful, beautiful dogs. Like retrievers they are easy to train and love to retrieve items. They can be trained to swim and they love the water. They act as good watchdogs, but not guard dogs. They are very active dogs, and if they do not get enough exercise and stimula ...
