I was ordering a pair of shoes on line and had a problem putting in the discount code and emailed for advice. No response from Customer Services. I sent again a week later, still no response. As they completely ignored my emails, I presume that they thought I would give up and pay the full price of the shoes. NO WAY! Be very careful if you have a problem ordering on line....you may not get any help...I didn't, so I won't be buying from Jones the Bootmakers ever again.

I shop at the Bluewater store and have always found the staff friendly and helpful. The shoes and boots are great quality. My boots have been worn and worn and still look good. Today I took back some shoes which I had bought sometime ago (but hardly worn) because the leather was lifting away. I was listened to politely and the shoes examined. I was offered an exchange. Great service. I remain a loyal customer!

do yourself a favor and do not by these boots they are the cheapest looking rubbish i have seen in years online only probably because they are so disgusting they would lower the tone of the shop

Had 4 pairs from this shop in last 10 months - initaly purchased two which fell apart in 4 months then took these back and got them both replaced(thanks) both of which have fallen apart in another 5 months. I have other shoes that i wear and dont wear them hard. Very poor for shoes that cost over £100 a pair. WOnt be buying again.

After purchasing a pair of £85 Merrell walking shoes i had only worn them a few times, noticed they were stretching and we're getting loose. I returned them to the store but had lost my receipt, well, their attitude was that they couldn't care less And was nothing they could do?! Not even a good will gesture! I will never shop at Jones again, appalling!! Happy to take your hard earned cash though .

I was given a pair of Jones boots as a gift August 2014 but didn't need to use them until the weather got worse. They lasted a couple of months of light wear but by October the button on the top had fallen off. As I didn't have the receipt I just took them to a local cobblers who fixed them as best they could for me. I wore them a few times over Xmas and in January but by mid February I noticed they were leaking every time it rained. Looking at the soles you can barely see any wear but the leather is actually split where it attaches to the sole. I contacted Jones online customer service explaining the situation and they advised me to take them to a store along with proof of purchase. I explained I was unable to get the receipt (as the person that gave me the boots no longer has it) and they have point blank refused to assist me further. They were paid for by cash so we can't produce a credit/debit card receipt. I told them the name and model number of the boots and told them I didn't want a refund or new boots, just a repair so they at least last another winter for the amount they would have cost. They were adamant without a receipt they would not help. I would not recommend Jones, for two reasons, the quality of the footwear and the terrible customer service.

I purchased a pair of shoes before Christmas 2014 for £50 which was discounted by 50%. They have lasted less than 3 months of wear due to their inner linings separating from the shoes and moving around inside the shoes. This is incredibly poor and I will not be buying any further pairs from Jones the Bootmaker again.

I have purchased my shoes from Jones for a number of years, however, I will not be doing so any longer. There is no doubt that the quality of their footwear has deteriorated massively. I am on my fourth pair of the same style shoe in a short period of time (I know, I should have learnt my lesson after the second pair!). I have had heels fall off, seams come undone and the leather split. Each time I have taken my shoes, along with the recipt back to the store, and each time I have a battle with the staff who appear to think they are doing me a favour by exchanging them (or making me sit in the store whilst a member of staff runs my shoe to a repair store). The shoes each time have had little wear. My advice is save your money and shop elsewhere.

Paid for a pair of shoes at a Bath, Southgate branch with the intention of going back to pick them up. Couldn't tell when as live in Cornwall & work 3 days a week at Oxford. Post Xmas, I wouldn't be going back that way & phoned to see if the branch would either transfer to a Truro branch or post to my home (at my expense). Response was atrocious. No, no couldn't do anything. 'You can have a refund, but you have to come into the branch. There's clever look you? Phoned main CS (just as bad) no forward thinking or suggestions at all. Won't be going in there again or recommending. In fact, I would avoid at all costs. No CS skills, no training, that's obvious. AVOID

Spent £145 on a pair of boots, worn occasionally and only lasted a year before the heel came off. The quality of the goods is not as what one would expect.

I ordered 2 pairs of shoes online for my husbands 50th birthday, which cost £398.00 , I also paid for next day delivery and to my absolute disgust FOUR days later the shoes had still not arrived. I was fobbed off with your order is out for delivery and will be with you before 8pm. After four days I called head office who still couldn't give me any information. I am into the 5th day now and still no shoes so will have to call again today. I was so embarrassed when I didn't have a gift for my husband to give him on his birthday. I wish I had looked at the level of service from previous customers. The fact that it is under 40% speaks volumes!! PLEASE spend your money elsewhere. Annoyed the review wouldn't allow me to give NO stars as it doesn't even deserve 1

I bought my son's shoes for £ 42 on 31/08/14 and 3 months down the line and stitching on both shoes came undone. I took them back to the store to be told that it's wear and tear and no refund will be given. If that is the case Their shoes must be of very low quality as they don't expect kids to wear them for more than 3 months. As those shoes were expensive I think everyone is better off going somewhere else to buy their kids shoes. Customer service was absolutely terrible. The way the manager dealt with me was unprofessional. Don't buy shoes there.

I purchased a pair of shoes for my granddaughter which, on first wear were found to be faulted..they were returned to shop and we were told unless we had receipt their was nothing they would do....staff were officious and dismissive....disgusted that all they quoted was 'it's company policy' ....as a get out for having faulted goods. I will NEVER shop there again, and nor will any of my friends and family..

Less than 1 month ago I bought a pair of the navy patent level, clodsed toe, cork wedges, from the Leeds Briggate store. I've been a customer at Jones for many years, and have 4 more pairs in a similar style but with open toes. They have all been excellent. The latest pair were a real let down, after approximately 8 wears (to work) the outer area of the heel sole was worn out. I only noticed this because I was packing them to return home (after working in Leeds for a few months)- I was so shocked to see how the sole had already worn to the cork! Yesterday I returned the shoes, but like others seem to have experienced, the propblem is all mine because of the way I walk? Really after 8 wears? Oh but, to quote the assistant, "they only have my word for that" Well I can accept that different people walk in different ways, but the sole is in my opinion very poor quality if it wears down so quickly - the other shoes I have in the similar style show some wear but after 3 summers are nowhere near to having worn right down. So the options were an exchange - little point when the fault is supposedly not the shoe but the way I walk. Or a credit note that has to be used in 6 months. No compromise whatsoever. As I am leaving Leeds this week, I very reluctantly accepted the credit note, as there was no real option. I hasten to add there was no actual manager in the store, despite Sunday being a very busy shopping day in Leeds city centre. Jones used to offer great quality but like many reviewers on a variety of sites that's no longer my experience - a pair of boots I bought last autumn were also poor quality and came apart very quickly (I didn't bother to return those as I was travelling at the time - now I wish I had!) Poor quality, poor service, and a tendency to blamen the customer Well other than spending my credit note I will not be buying from Jones any more and I'd advise everyone who does shop there to keep a very close eye to see if things deteriorate quickly with their new purchases. I have every intention of taking this up with their Head Office and with Trading Standards - I did explain this in the shop but frankly the "supervisor" could not have cared less.

I have purchased 5 pairs Jones shoes so far and I am very satisfied with the quality of the shoes. I use 2 pairs for work and they were comfortable since I wore them fist time. I have to say Jones Bootmaker its my favourite brand and I wish they had some loyalty program as I will be definitely returning to this shop. Also the staff in the shop is always nice and helpful ( shop near Chancery Lane station in London)

I went to the Horsham branch of Jones and the girl who served me could not have been more helpful.Nothing was to much trouble . It makes a nice change to go into a shop that make you feel so welcome. I found out later that I was served by the manger.I will go back there again next time I need any more footware and will tell my friends to go as well We need more staff like this in other shops.
