The product looked OK on the web-site and the promise to deliver it on the following Saturday, ahead of the Easter break, for an extra £5 sounded good value, unfortunately having waited in all day nothing arrived. Despite providing contact details to help keep us informed of the delivery we've heard nothing. I rang the help line but they couldn't contact the couriers but assured me that when deliveries are delayed they refund the £5 paid for the faster service. Not the sort of business… Read Full Review

YOUR EXAMPLE AS TO THE QUALITY OF SERVICE CLEARLY THE PROBLEMS YOU RECEIVED, AS FOR THOSE APPEALING PHOTOGRAPHS SHOWING THE PRODUCT AND DETAILS, THEN BEWARE, THE CAMERA CAN SOMETIMES LIE, ESPECIALLY IF IT HAS THEIR NAME ON IT.

“Kitchen fitted to excellent standard”

The sales staff at the Hinckley store gave me all the advice we initially needed and very soon we had planned a kitchen and ordered. When we changed our minds over things they couldnt have been more helpfull. When the contracted fitter Mackenzie interiors came to assess a number of alterations to the original plan were suggested. “Great Customer Service Team”

I brought a Shower for Wickes. The shower after a few months had a faulty temperature control. I went down to my local Wickes and instead of saying you must contact the manufacturer, they took my name and number and sent an engineer to fix it. I cannot fault the service and the price and quality of the items are good. I would recommend waiting around August time as they normally do a 50% sale and then another 25% on top. Hi Cherryadams,

Nice to see your review recorded on this review website., and to see that you received good service from Wickes (at whatever branch ?). However , I do not understand that your shower developed a fault ( faulty shower control) and after just a few months. Further into your review, you say the quality of the items are 'good'., and award Wickes 5 stars.

As for your claim of saying you had a saving £1600 through a mark down of 50% followed by a further 25%, clearly shows the profit they had had been hitherto 'ripping off' customers with selling it at the original price. Still if you are happy to fall for this kind of sale, and believe you had received a bargain, that's fine. I hope it continues to work well for you following the fixing of the faulty part(s).

“excellent elivery service”

I oredered everything i needed to revamp my house including rebuilding my garage i placed the order on the thursday at around 4pm and the nice young man at the morecambe store helped me out with calculations for blocks, sand, cement,kitchen units and worktops and many more not only where the staff very helpfull but they said i could get it all delivered the next day as they had everything i needed in stock. “Shoddy Goods”

Ordered a half glazed exterior door from Wickes. We attempted to order in the local branch in Telford and were told they were not stock items and that we would have to order over the internet. The internet informed that we had to order in shop. Eventually the order was placed over the telephone. So far we have received 5 doors. One was the incorrect door. they offer price match then dont want to do it, i brought 6 doors today and got them delivered when i got them 3 where damaged they wanted me to take them 20 miles down the road to where i ordered them...... “Wickes next day delivery”

Ordered bulky items in the morning for next day delivery and used the Wickes online postcode checker which confirmed next day delivery. Took day off work and no delivery made. Contacted Wickes to be told that they have "problems" delivering to the TN14 and TN16 areas and the postcode checker has not been updated. Have recently check the postcode checker and sure enough Wickes still state next day delivery is available to the above areas. Hmm...Will now be contacting trading standards… Read Full Review

“Beautiful kitchen”

From enquiring about a new kitchen to delivery everyone was kind and helpful. The kitchen designer was helpful by giving me ideas I would not have thought of. The Caledonia kitchen is wonderful, finished off to a very high standard. I was amazed how easy the units fit together. “Fail to delivery”

Free next day delivery sounds too good to be true....it is! Supposed to receive our delivery between midday and 6pm.....at 6pm my partner had waited 1 1/2 hours after he should have finished work for the delivery - when he called up he got to speak to the delivery driver who said he couldnt find the office (which is not difficult to find!). Wickes Order made online on Thursday for Saturday delivery- monies taken an delivery charge taken. Received call Friday night to advise that 1 of products was out I stock. Was asked if wanted to take it off but still receive delivery, so said that would be fine. “What a dump!”

Visited the Watford branch today and what a complete dump it was, there was 1 guy on the till n two youngish looking blokes wondering around on the shop floor, the store was untidy, unkept, basically looked as if it was closing down. certainly didnt look like any of them cared, i did try to get a question answered on a particular type of door lock n the guy didnt really make any effort except to give me a brochure n point me to the area where they were kept. it was empty but for 2 locks in… Read Full Review

placed a order on line thursday arfternoon as it stated if placed before 6pm then would have next day delivery.there web site crashed in the middle of this so i phoned and talked to the sales team who promised next day delivery(friday)at about 7 pm store phoned to say that they were all booked up so it would be delivered on saturday .as i had taken friday off work wasnt best pleased but we agreed to first drop saturday approx 8am .then on friday i get a call to say that they are very busy and… Read Full Review
