“Service at your Grantham store”

Over the last weeks I have spent over ten thousand pounds on a new kitchen ,slabs, and decking goods. I complained to your staff on more than one visit about your delivery charge and discounting arrangement which seems available to some customers and not others what is going on? “The best DIY store certainly in the North !”

My experience of WIckes as a company is SO different - I can't believe all the rest of these reviews. My local store has very friendly staff who go out of their way to help. I have made many purchases from WIckes, both big and small, and always have been more than happy with my purchase. The guys who delivered my laminate flooring recently, came as promised and were far more cheerful than most delivery people! “Rip Off Delivery”

Ordered some kitchen units and a worktop online as they were too bulky for me to take home from the nearby store myself. The delivery then turned up when I was at work even though they were supposed to call me before hand to organise the delivery time. Had to phone to reorganise delivery. When it did turn up the delivery men moaned about the first missed delivery then refused to take the goods upstairs to my flat, just left them outside. Was charged £25 for this. “Returns policy”

We had to return an item that was faulty to WIckes in Hall Green Biirmingham.The staff were so obliging and apologised for the problem. “Can not believe how bad they have become”

As a tradesman i would never go any where else apart from wickes there paint was one of the best i ever used tools where good and youst to get 10% discount. But now it seems to have gone to pot every thing has gone up dramatically new paint is rubbish tool the same' could not believe the difference in prises isolation valves wickes £6.99 each Screwfix £9.99 for a pack of 10. The coverage on there old paint was excellent there new paint 3 to 4 coats to cover rubbish.Will never yous again… Read Full Review

Entirely the fault of management decisions to promote staff from the shop floor who are not up to the job, poor training, staff treated poorly, national minimum wage.

But enjoyable talking to and offering advice to the customers!

Oh well we have move on!!!!

“Don't Order Online!”

Ordered a shower online on the 10th August before 4pm for next day delivery. The shower never arrived but i thought i'd give it a couple of days just in case. When it still hadn't come the following Friday I phoned customer service. I was informed that they had tried to deliver twice to the wrong address (The right address was on the VAT receipt that was emailed me) They apologized for their mistake and said it would be with me on Monday 20th. “Terrible Service”

Ordered online, a week in advance, a big and bulky delivery, however on the day of delivery the Driver decided he didn't like the look of our road (i.e too tricky to bother with) and wouldn't deliver, when we called the delivery mgr and then customer service for help it was the start of several hours of sheer frustration with calls not being returned, people being downright rude and no one actually being bothered to help us. “Four Panel Pine doors”

If you think these doors are cheap,think again.I bought five of these doors and two of them started blistering in patches near the centre and glue marks showing through after about a week of finishing with Wickes products.After a visit by the manufacturer our claim was rejected,although we were previously offered replacement doors by the store but obviously that meant paying for fitting and finishing again. Edin (branch) disgusting service Pam(manager) Stephen Easson (design Team) compulsive liars, wickes buggered up the order and they were not interested in fixing out the problems, blamed the error on the computer! “wickes conned me into driving 50 miles for nothing”

When Wickes told me my order would be delivered between 12 and 6, I naturally assumed they meant after 12 and before 6. Apparently not! So when 6 O'clock came and went and I called customer services, do you think I got an apology? One is entitled to dream! What I actually got was denial of liability. 12 to 6 is a big enough window of opportunity that they set themselves and they confirmed it only that morning. Ordered goods online on 31 July with next day delivery. No delivery 1 Aug so I emailed this morning (2 Aug). 6 hours later I get a response saying someone will get in touch. Not impressed with this, I telephoned customer support only to get an electronic message saying all lines are busy & then get cut off. Happened continually. Bought some fence panels and posts late one friday evening, expecting to get a call am sat by the local shop (after reading the terms and conditions), placed the order... Called sat to see what the score was and found that they would be delivering next sat. So what am i paying an additional £5 for? Saturday delivery, but one which will suit them. Wickes are the most horrible merchant I have ever dealt with. I placed an order on Thursday evening, with an opinion it will be delivered on Friday or at the most by Saturday.
