I am not happy with the way Argos treat their customers I have been trying 2 days now to buy something with this card and every time I try and put my cards details in the figures jump to the next set of numbers if you don't want me to buy the item just tell me instead of all the faffing around remember I can be funny when you want payments you ring customer services they are useless think it's time to cut this card up and forget never used to have this problem and have always paid on time bunch of idiots

“Awful statement information ”

Argos is the worst company for not giving clear details on monthly statements. It shows the amount that you have spent but doesn't show what you have spent it on. Makes tracking returns and refunds difficult. I've returned items and I'm not convinced I did actually receive my refund. Call center staff said they had refunded it against another item. Find customer service uninterested and amateurish.

Used my buy now pay later deal at xmas £445.60 . Paid may in full. I had went through the phoneline payment. Plus spoke to a advisor when argos voicemachine was breaking up throughout the call. So now we are in june. Recieved a email £3.67 due. I called again to question this. Seemenly i hadn't paid in full in may as i thought. I had left 3.67 remaining. No chance i did this. I was told the incorrect sum. My card just had a violent death with scissors

“Rubbish company ”

Had card for years never missed a payment always paid on time and often paid big sums of money off the balance.then kept seeing arrears on my statement of less than a pound,paid this small amount on at least four occasions but it never disappeared and then got a letter telling me not to use my card until I had paid this 99p,or else I would incur more charges.turned out they were taking the payment from the wrong plan.thier fault not mine.i have paid the balance and told them what to do with their card!!I will never shop with them again,they are awful and have zero after sales service.

“Had an Argos Card for 4 years and never missed a...”

Had an Argos Card for 4 years and never missed a payment. Posted a cheque in December for full payment and they say they never received a cheque. Raised this with them and the fact I never missed a payment and they said there was nothing they could do to help. My statement then came and showed they received a cheque nearly a month later. Cheque was posted a month before. Have raised a complaint with them but they keep extending the time they look into this. They have impacted my credit score and unless they sort this out will take legal action. Would not recommend to anyone and payed the full amount off by debit card when a statement arrived and requested the account be closed. Avoid.

“Rude, amatuer service”

I have just been on the on the phone to them for nearly 40 minutes. All I wanted was to speak to an advisor; to change my memorable word. The first time I called after automated chat had finished I got through, and was asked my name, after that I was asked what I was calling about; and when I explained that I had difficulty in logging on to their website, the phone went dead. So I had to go through the whole process again. I got through and the advisor was quite amateur, and she put me on hold; listening to music for well over 5 minutes; then to be told that she couldn't help me today as that part of the system was 'down'. She said could I ring back tomorrow. Enough said; but appalling, rude and discourteous service. Obviously, not a service!

“Reap off”

Please don't collect the card it is used to reap you off your hard earned money especially if you are the type who don't check your balance regularly. I was charged £32 extra for a £85 balance which I actually paid two days late according to them but for bank delays. I am paying them off asap and shedding the stupid card to pieces.

“Making payments to Argos Card”

I bought an Apple iPod Classic last July and the full payment was extended until next February using the Argos Card. I then bought a Seagate Expansion drive in November, and the payment for this was not extended, so I paid the full amount in the normal credit account. The amount was taken in error by Argos Card, from the 'Buy Now Pay Later' account, and I have received a letter this morning, telling me that if I don't pay the full amount, in the normal credit account by the end of December, I will be charged interest. I have now paid the full amount again in the normal credit account, and if Argos Card make the same mistake, I will pay the full amount to close the account.

If you enjoy spending ages on line trying to pay a Store card balance only to end up having your account blocked then the Argos card is definitely for you. Presumably this is all about "security" and to prevent fraud When, if ever, has anyone comitted fraud bu paying another persons Store card balance?

“How long to set up a Direct Debit??”

Direct debit put in place 4 weeks prior to first payment due date. Noticed 2 days after payment due date that the payment had not been taken so phoned and was told in arrears and late payment charge added to account. They apologised and refunded this and I made a manual payment. However 5 days ; later received letter saying that due to my poor payment record they were reducing my credit limit = Ok no problem, BUT it would be reported on my credit file .. which up to then had been all payments etc up to date on every account I had. Not impressed . All my accounts have been set up DD and no one has ever taken 4 weeks to action it.

“Beware”

Easy to apply for BUT two major issues. 1. The layers of security to get onto the web based account management are almost impenetrable. Constant account locking if you make a mistake on any of the four layers mean you basically don't get onto the account - and that's really bad. More security than a typical bank account. Why? 2. If you don't pay something off by the end of the 6 or 12 month period you are liable for all of the interest for the item for the whole period - so nearly 30% (APR) is added. Beware. And of course as above if you can't get onto the account you're not going to know.

this card and Argos website is completely useless, spent hours trying to make a payment, changed password several times. the so called mobile app wont work on my windows phone, avoid these useless cards like the plague

“UNTRUSTWORTHY”

Argos card does NOT like responsible clients. I have had a card for over 6 years. I have always paid what I owe BEFORE the due date & have never owed them a penny. I recently got a letter from them saying that when my card expires this month - it will not be reissued !!! ?????. I would not recommend this company to anyone & would very strongly advise against any kind of involvement with such an untrustworthy company as Argoscard.

I had the same letter recently explaining that my card is due to expire and they will not be sending me a new one... can't understand why as I have always paid on time too had the argos card for about 9 years now.

I have just had the very same letter so I phoned and asked why as I too always pay before the due date and anything that is over a period of time is payed months before its due, they said they would be monitoring my account and may issue another card at later date, my response ---- Don't bother argos I'm not interested

“Bad customer service " help" line!!!!!”

When I called to sort the issue with my nectar points they just transferred my call one to another one about 15 times. .. waisted about 1 hour on the line... no one wanted to solve the problem.... they didn't know any information I was asking. .. I don't know how they been trained BUT DEFINITELY they need more training how to dial with problems and customers. .. TERRIBLE CUSTOMERS SERVICE. .. WAIST OF TIME !!!!!! BAD

“Terrible”

Every time I've rang up they've been absolutely useless, waited 15 mins on hold the other day due to my app saying it was linked to too many devices to get told to not use it, they also recommended I set up a direct debit which I did, which didn't take the payments out of my account. Every time I ring I get rude people on the phone who are useless. Must be an external company to Argos itself as never had the problems with Argos.

“Out of date”

I have just spent over an hour and a half trying to buy something online and pay with my Argos card only to find it wouldn't take a payment from me and my card was out of date buy a year and nobody has sent me a new one what a load of rubbish so today they have lost £60 I always buy now pay later

“No problems”

I have had my argosstore card for a couple of years now and only use it for BNPL(buy now pay later), I started with a limit of £750 and now its over double that, I havent had any problems at all, I always pay back before the deadline and it helps me with emergancy buys that I know I can pay back asap. You can pay back on the internet using their website very easy to do with a debit card. I have never been charged any fees, nothing. It helps me out and would reccomned it but as said on here as long as you pay it back I am very good with money, you wil have no trouble.

“NOT FOR ME”

over the years I've spent hundreds if not thousands at Argos. today I've paid my account off in full £555.32p and come back home cut my card up and tossed it in the bin. all because I under paid last month by £6.74. got a threating letter. the cards all well and good but you have to remember your still spending real money. YOUR MONEY. I will probably still shop at Argos. on a cash or debit card only basis. as far as I am concerned now my account is paid in full. I am keeping my last receipt. and if they want any more money regarding my account. I will be the one seeking legal advice

How can I get an argos store card. I tried online and it doesn't work. They told me at the store I have to buy something over 10 pounds then I can apply. I don't know. I earn £19,500 and live 5 years on the same address. What is the problem?

I've just got the Argos credit card from Vanquiz. Am I able to use this card for buy now pay later or pay over 6 months offers from Argos? My friend said it does not apply to this card. Regards
