Can't beleive all the people complaining about interest charges, obviously they are going to do this, any types of loans do, they can't give away stock for years until you can pay! If you pay the full balance within the buy now pay later period it's a really good option. I hate debt and don't have any but decided on a store card after we were left without some electricals after a break in- was easy to make payments and customer service were always nice with me :-)… Read Full Review

Never get a card from them, I got married and they wanted me to send my ORIGINAL marriage certificate so i refused. I then wanted to pay my balance off and close the account, but pay with the debit card in my married name and was told i couldn't as my name had changed....BUT I COULD GET someone else with a completly different name to pay it for me? how does that make sense? so i said i will get my mum who lives 200 miles away to call you, i then had to hang up, call my mum ask her to pay it… Read Full Review

Plz i advise ppl not 2 get a argos card or any other sort of store care and if u do feel the need 2 get 1 then use them in extreme emergencies because the store companies encourage u to use them and to buy more expensive items and they will keep bumping up your credit limit so u will but more its fine if u can keep up with the agreed payments but as soon as u miss 1 they will come down on you with debt collectors and balliffs . I work for a debt advisory group and ive seen countless ppl coming… Read Full Review

I have had my Argos Store Card for many years and not suffered a single problem. Every month my statement arrives without delay. The statements clearly show how much you have spent and how much you have paid. I have never had any problems with BNPL deals which I have taken advantage of many times. They make it quite clear that your BNPL purchase will be interest free if you pay the full balance before the BNPL end date. If the full amount is not paid by the end date interest will be charged… Read Full Review

Terrible, terrible, terrible service. Lines are supposed to be open until 8pm, this is not the case. Lose your card Friday evening, wait until Monday to report. You are responsible for £50 when used fraudulently. Ridiculous service, locked me out of My argos card account when I logged on to check my balance to see if used fraudulently. You have to ring to unlock. Ridiculous service… Read Full Review

Fine for buy now pay later on anything over 3 months. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE for purchases under £95. I was told that anything purchased for under £95 qualified for a 59 day buy now pay later. This was, however, completely untrue. It turned out to be 20days. I was on holiday when the statement was delivered and as I had been told I had 59 days to pay, had not arranged payment. Result= card I now cannot use, a £12 late fee and an arrears on my credit history. Customer services were abysmal and… Read Full Review

The argos card is good if you keep on top of your payment due dates. Anyone who falls foul of this really have themselves to blame. I have never paid intrest to argos. think about it, only use it if you think you can handle the payment when it comes round.
This said i think Argos are ruining the card service. When i first joined (around 8 years) i could put items on the card for over £295.00 and get 12 months intrest free. A few years back this was reduced to 9 months intrest free, with 12… Read Full Review

I agree, no problems ever and the best BNPL's on the high street - FACT!
The apr isn't high for a "Store Card" at 27.9% but if you have a brain you would never pay interest as I don't, USE IT WITH A BNPL, SIMPLE!… Read Full Review

I don't know what you are all moaning about, I have always found the Argos Card to be great. I have had the card for about 7 years and never had any issues. The BNPL deals are what make the card and are why I have the card, they are great and I never pay any interest on anything I buy from Argos. Most of my friends and family have the card and have never had any issues either. Stop moaning and pay your bills on time and you won't go wrong!… Read Full Review

Argos never send their invoices out on time, I received my invoice for november a couple of days before my december one so payment was overdue & they charged me £12.00. I phoned them & was basically told it wasnt their problem I hadnt received it, if I had a problem to take it up with royal mail. The same thing has happened on several occasions & have never had this problem with anywhere else, so argos want me to believe that royal mail sit on my argos invoice for few weeks before me receiving… Read Full Review

after using my argos card for over 4 years & always paying the balance in full i made a long journey to another argos store which was the only one to have the item i wanted only to be told when i tried to use my card that it had been cancelled. therefore a long wasted journey as i have never received a letter informing of this after contacting argos they say its because i no longer meet their criteria ie: probably cos i always pay in full & they are not making a load of interest which is a… Read Full Review

Applied for this card when my washer broke, i got one straight away as i have no debt. When i used it,it gave me 6mths Interest Free Credit which is what i wanted, i set up payment on my online banking and paid as and when as long as its within the 6mths. Its great and use all the time now and pay it off asap. It works for me but i am very good with money.
Any credit/store cards are great as long as you pay off the full price within the specified time. Good luck… Read Full Review

The Argos card was easy to apply for, and quite convenient. Or so we thought. We were offered 'buy now, pay 12 months later' scheme in September 2008. In February 2009, we started getting letters telling us the full balance was now due. We made a phonecall to Argos and I spoke to a very rude saleswoman who kept rather annoyingly repeating "you would have been told what the scheme was when you first took out the credit, it's not our mistake". After she repeated this, I kid you not, SIX… Read Full Review
