I found that my PC was running very slowly, so on advice from a friend (a senior software developer- so if he thinks it good then it must be worth a look) removed Norton, installed Avast and now my PC is protected and fast again.
Very impressed so far. Well recommend Avast Antivirus.

Never had problem. Works quietly in the background, updates automatically. Keeps me safe. Delighted with it. Well recommend Avast AntiVirus.

Overall better than anything i have tried so far !
I have tried many antivirus systems free and purchased and this is my prefered (for now!).
Its better than anything else you can purchse but it's free..
Respect to the Avast Team for a funky piece of useful software!

As computer novice (there are still some left) my machine came with 3 months free norton which seemed to be doing the job. However when random audio clips came through the speakers I ran norton which said my system was secure and took advice and installed avast. I was staggered that it detected 7 tr ...

Works without taking half your resources and doesn't give the game Fear a false positive like AVG does. (The main reason I switched). Plus its free!
Its free, works, & takes very little resources. What else do you need? Well recommend Avast Antivirus.

Very efficient, lightweight, and detection rate is high compared to others such as Norton, mcAfee, or bitDefender
- The pro version lack an anti-spyware scanner.- No firewall.Highly recommended piece of software.

Very fast, doesn't bog down the computer, automatic updates are fast, detected some Trojans that Norton missed.
Excellent program, and free! Nothing bad for me to say about this Avast Anti virus software therefore I well recommend it to anyone.

Does what it says on the tin, gets rid and stops virus in real time not after they get in. There is nothing I can say that is bad about this Avast anti virus software, the best one I have tried it works thats the main thing who need out else.

I would recommend to ask for support before purchasing.. support is a big thing if you invest much.. Do not recommend Avast Antivirus.

100% efficient to protect home computer and small business computer. It has a very low resources requirement Consistent updates to the virus database and program. Works Great & Never Had A Problem.
It is a anti virus integrated spy ware, mail ware & network firewall.
