I have tried 3 free antivirus programs: Antivir, AVG and Avast. Here is what I experienced. Antivir has a very serious deficiency in that it does not scan your e-mails and this allowed 3 worms to infect and remain on my pc undetected. In spite of updating this antivirus daily they were not detected ...

I took a chance on the Avast Antivirus after having problems with Norton. I most recently have been using Norton Systemworks with the Norton Anti-Virus component installed. I run Windows ME as my operating system. My system crashed recently and I had to reinstall everything. When it came to the Nor ...

The Avast Antivirus looks pretty, but that's about all. I have been a techi repairing computers for years. I am currently enrolled in ITT-Tech. I have personally tested this program against viruses you can easily download for educational purposes on the web. I have compressed them, and rescanned the ...

I've tried all. AVG Pro, Norton 2005, and Avast! Pro. Out of all, I definitely agree with everyone that Avast! is probably the best choice out of those three. The opportunities are endless with this software. Norton 2005 (which I had before this) took up at least half the room on my computer, and ...

When my Norton 2004 started to crash my system, basically eating my memory, I decided to uninstall it. I had to look for a new, free and good antivirus. A friend recommended me Avast! Antivirus. So I downloaded and I've been blessed with it's goodness since then. It uses practically no resources, au ...

Overall, Avast Anti virus is a very fine piece of software. Doesn't waste resources, gives excellent protection, regularly updated, and does exactly what an anti-virus program should do. Excellent.

The problem mentioned in the bad points is bad enough for me to think this Avast Antivirus software is not as good as it appears to be. Personally I think the one application you need to be paying for is the anti virus program and I'd go for Kaspersky myself. Good in all the reviews and tests and pl ...

After having Norton crash on me, (like any memory eating program would) I surfed around and found this Avast Antivirus software! which I find to be the best anti-virus yet, so easy to use, auto updating, the the look itself is very easy to use, and the best part, it doesn't take all your memory or r ...
