I find myself riding the Kawasaki KX 500 more than my other bikes because it is easier to ride long distances. I have it set up for a soft ride and find myself almost never shifting. 3 gear is about all you need in the desert. It the best bike for what it is made for and that is off road riding, not ...

Stock gearing works perfect for all environments.
With some minor suspension adjustments great off road performance.
Low, mid, top end power cannot be compared to any other.
Climbing power is unprecidented.
Sorry to see them go!

The kawasaki kx 500 is a rubbish bike. Its a real dog to ride. its really slow too.
Stroke 500 are very unreliable. Every time I rebuild it,
it messes up 2 or 3 rides later. as a peice of advice - never buy this bike.
