Written on: 04/05/2009

I dont know what some of you think accuracy is, but the Crosman 760 PumpMaster I purchased can't hit the broadside of a barn. (esspecially with BB's) 30' can't hit a popcan consistantly, with pellets its still approx. 4'' group. I am not the best shooter around, but I have a few national titles in competition, so I can't say a good thing about this gun… Read Full Review

The Crosman 760 PumpMaster is a very good gun and i would recomend it to anyone who want to kill birds or a squrrell. this is perfect gun to kill squrrells. the box says 10 pumps but a speed meter said that at 12 pumps you get MAX power. this is a very good gun for only $40.00 BUY IT!!… Read Full Review

Written on: 16/04/2009 by jake543 (1 review written)

The Crosman 760 PumpMaster is a good gun, easily good enough for rabbit and squirrel hunting. Plastic body is cheap, but durable, and the butt of the gun can be replaced. pneumatic pump is kind of annoying, but packs a punch to varmints in your backyard… Read Full Review

The Crosman 760 PumpMaster is cheap and not very cheerful
some say it will kill vermin (maybe a cockroach if you club it with the butt but then the gun will probably break)

do yourself a favour buy a BSA meteor instead

if this is all you can afford buy a slingshot instead… Read Full Review

Written on: 12/04/2009

The Crosman 760 PumpMaster is poorly made, stock snapped off when my friend dropped it. The scope it came with had loose rings and would not stay straight, and the fiber-optic sight on the front fell off. I had to duct tape it on. Now my accuracy is bad, and the range is only about 20 feet. The fps reading on the box says that it is 600-625 fps. I would guess this to be off by about 200… Read Full Review

Written on: 01/04/2009

The Crosman 760 PumpMaster is a very good air rifle. It is small, light, accurate, easy to pump and cheap. I would not use it on anything bigger than a chipmunk.

Written on: 17/02/2009

The Crosman 760 PumpMaster is a very well built gun and good durable plastic worth the money. The accuracy on this gun is very bad but if you get a scope it is pretty accurate but not as good as most bb guns out there. This is an overall decent bb gun for beginners who like to shoot at cans but a can is about all it will hit… Read Full Review

Written on: 06/01/2009 by blammo (7 reviews written)

I had three friends that owned the Crosman Pumpmaster 760. Though I had good times goofing off with this little plinker, there were a couple of reasons why I never had any interest in owning this gun myself. First off has got to be the looks. This gun is not very attractive. It's small, dainty and definitely geared more towards juveniles. Second, I'd have to say the power (or lack there of) is an issue. This little gun packs a little punch, but not quite enough to take out varmints. Like… Read Full Review

Written on: 05/01/2009 by Derrick05 (15 reviews written)

As a kid I grew up shooting bbs.The airgnns back then were fairly accurate with bbs and I can remember killing squirrels from 40 yrds with bbs.Todays airguns may say dual ammo, but are really designed for pellets. In new air rifles the barrels are too big to accurately shoot bbs.The 760 is the exception. This is the most accurate bb shooting pump on the market. With my 4/32 scope I can drop gray squirrels at 35yrds with bbs.Power isnt that great, but doesnt have to be with bbs because a bb will out… Read Full Review

I found this review very helpful because you addressed BBs vs. pellets. Also gave first hand experience over a period of time. Thanks!

Bought the gun for my son. He used it twice, and then it was put away. for about a year. We took it out to shoot it and the magazine wouldn't work. Kept trying to tap it on the ground to get the BB's to not stick, and the the gun fell apart!!!, literally!!… Read Full Review

Written on: 05/01/2009

It was a very nice gun for quite a while before any problems came up. It would probably be a good starter gun for a young shooter. It will hurt if you get shot, (I was curios about it), but it cant really do a whole lot of damage. If you want to shoot small varmint, its also a very nice gun for that. With 6-7 pumps or under, you'll never have a problem with over-penetration… Read Full Review

My father gave me it as a gift and told me he got it 30 somthing years ago!!! My personal favorite. Rugged, durable, accurate and easy to use. An all around awsome gun. The cocking lever is broken and it is difficult to pump, but that's because my father first got it 30 years ago!!!… Read Full Review

Written on: 06/12/2008

The xls is suppose to bring back the best things about the 760, well how about the steel receiver, the solid steel barrel . They put wood on it that's it. It is just another cheap plastic bb gun. The Crosman 760 Pumpmaster used to be a very nice well made bb gun, now it is just a cheap piece of plastic… Read Full Review

Written on: 01/12/2008 by chuckndi (1 review written)

My first gun was a Daisy spring action rifle. The 760 was my first air rifle purchased in 1977. After 32 years, I got threw it away as the seals were shot...sadly, I didn't know it could have been repaired! So, I went out and bought another. This one feels lighter and not quite as rugged, but time will tell!… Read Full Review

An overall probably 5 and i would reccomend it to a beginer that just started with a bb gun. Its a good starting gun for a beginer a good f.p.s and good aim and sight but it is a cheap gun not for people that have had a gun before i like that its one of the only guns on the market that shoots a pellet and bb. Its made of plastic making it not to comfortable and it is bulky and not too long making it not look real at all… Read Full Review
