I bought two Emlyn sofas from the Bristol store they were really good quality But the ones delivered were a cheap version the back was ripped on the three seater and the front on the two seater we complained a guy come out and said Habitat had gone bankrupt they still have stores in other areas what a joke and now they are with Agos I would never buy from them again… Read Full Review

“Horrendous shopping experience ”

The worst shopping online shopping experience, 10 weeks and still no dinning table. Have contacted the Custer service team 4 occasions and each time given a date and a promise of a call back if date of tables arrival changes, have still not had a single call back. The team put me on hold for 30 sec are able to say they have spoken to the suppliers and table will be delivered on a certain date, I find it difficult to look up and dial a number in 30secounds never mind having a conversation and… Read Full Review

“Delivery man would't assemble table, contrary to sales...”

I bought a small console table from Habitat Tottenham Court Road, and explained I did not want flat pack, was assured it was NOT flat pack and was told the delivery people would definitely unpack the table for me. However on delivery which was prompt, they would not take the table out of box as said they are not allowed to. ordered the white leather ottari bed...............received after 5 months later - fiasco. they seem to have no co-ordination between delivery and customer. appaling customer service. bed when it arrived, the grade of leather utterly different from that in store i.e. much poorer quality - hard, grainy. the one in store was super soft of course! was so pee-ed off by end of 5 months hadn't the willpower to complain (and we badly needed bed). Bought an Ella sofa on ebay at the end of december. The delivery company Ceva (or Deceva!) sent me a postcard 2 weeks in telling me they didn't have a phone number to negotiate a delivery. Why didn't they contact habitat or habitat give them the details. They're all on the system anyway! Anyway, I rang them with all this info and it seemded that I would get my sofa pretty soon. “terrible terrible service”

We go through a terrible experience with the order of a desk, whose delivery is currently delayed for more than 4 months and counting. Customer Service is terrible poor and not updating us accordingly, no new delivery dates confirmed, no goodwill agreed for the damage - the company is operating with our money, and that of 10 other customers that are currently waiting for the same item. Purchased Chaise Longue and Armchair from Scala leather range in store at about GBP 2000,-. After less than three years of occasional use the Chaise Longue already showed significant sagging at the seating end, suggesting poor foam padding. I went to a HABITAT shop in Spain and bought a bed in December 2011. Yes, 2011! I am still waiting for them to deliver it or to give me back my deposit. Phoned last week to see where they were, was told that Habitat had had trouble proccessing my order, was then told that it was all sorted and I will receive them in 2-3 days. This happen to me as well in HABITAT Spain. I have been waiting for more than 9 months for a bed, just to find (after being lied to for months) that they are in negotiations with the provider and they are unable to give a delivery date !! Now, they don´t want to return my deposit. Outrageous.

“Dreadful service delivery”

Having ordered in store an item that is advertised as dlievery in 7 days- I am still waiting 18 days later. Firstly it seems that "delivery in 7 days" is in fact delivery in 7 days after the courier company contact you. In store I was promised delivery by a certain date, and yet this instruction seems to have disappeared. I did receive a text with a delivery time and date on, but no- they never turned up. “DO NOT BUY FROM HABITAT UK”

3 Failed deliveries, no communication. Ordered a table in July - told it would be delivered in September. Heard nothing in September so had to ring the number only to be told the delivery was not in the warehouse and therefore it wouldn't be going out to us. So then they tried to deliver it 3 times with their useless delivery company, Ceva Logistics and every time, they've rung me on the day with an excuse for it not to be delivered. “Shut it down”

Service has been appalling. Expecting table top and treslte for 4 weeks. This is far short of the 5-7 days boasted on the website. In fact, the order is only still active because of my constant phone calls to Habitat. After delivering one half of my order (after an internal delivery bungle), Habitat believed it had sent the whole order. This is despite my frequent calls explaining the missing goods. “Table with one leg!”

I ordered a trestle table glass top online and two legs for it (which you order separately). Then I'm told I have to wait three weeks for delivery by the partner delivery service. When the table finally arrives, I only receive one trestle leg! Aaaaarrrghhhhhhhhh! If only I had read these reviews before attempting to buy something through Habitat online. The delivery partner Habitat uses is evidently totally useless, and could only provide a delivery date (to North London, not the Outer Hebrides) nearly a month after my order (blaming the Olympics for the delays, though as anyone could tell them, most of the streets of London are near-deserted right now). “still waiting for delivery”

I bought a table in the store, paid straight away and was told that it would be delivered within 4-6 weeks. This was at the beginning of May. “I've cancelled my order and won't buy from Habitat again.”

I ordered a coffee table and paid for it straight away. It was supposedly in stock. When I hadn't heard anything after a couple of weeks I contacted Habitat to be told there was a problem with their system and the carrier couldn't recognise my postcode. My house is not a new build. Made the mistake of thinking that what I remembered as a good retailer (when they had shops) would match up to today's standards in online shopping. I was wrong. They took my money immediately and two weeks later no goods. (Ordered a duvet cover, not a great big sofa). “Poor quality, has gone downhilll since takeover by Argos”

I have always been a big fan of Habitat. I love the style and elegance of their furniture. It has always struck me as a young dynamic outward looking brand with iconic origins in the 1960s.
