I have had my Webley Longbow for a few weeks and I have killed lots of pigeons. I have not missed a shot, the pigeons drop with a mighty whack! The rifle is high powered and has a nice barrel cock. A great hunting rifle! (read more)

The Webley longbow is one of the best air guns i've owned, it's great in the field or in the garden shooting targets. Great accuracy, i would highly recommended it. (read more)

In my opinion the Webley longbow is a much underrated air rifle which deserved greater accolade. Extremely accurate and beautifully made. Excellent two stage trigger and Walther Lothar barrel. The bluing of the metal is far superior to the likes of Air Arms or Weihrauch. The walnut stock is particularly nice with its pistol checkering. No longer in production since Webley went bust after 200 years in the business. There are a few still available. Recommend purchasing a fine example of... (read more)

I bought my Webly Longbow in February 2005 from a local gunshop in Stafford. With it I got a Webley 4x32 and some low Webley mounts along with a BSA SAS silencer.
I chose the more manly .22 calibre as I was planning to use it for conies although with hindsight I believe .177 would of been a better choice due to the flatter trajectory.
When I got it home I bolted the scope on and dashed into my 25 metre range in the garden to zero it in. Accuracy was nothing short of outstanding... (read more)

I bought my Webley longbow today, I had originally ordered the xocet on thursday, it had arrived arrived on friday by mid-day but was a .177 I wanted the .22 I phoned up the dealer who was extremely helpful, first they offered me a free upgrade to the XS and some free accupells. But it wouldn't be with me until the next friday. I really wanted to shoot so I decided to drive up. When I got there they gave me a free upgrade to the Longbow carbine. With 6X40 scope for £154 (their very good... (read more)

After getting into precharged, I sold off all of my high powered spring rifles because they were too much of a hassle for me (not that I couldn't shoot them accurately). The only spring guns that now appeals to me are medium powered ones because I see no sense in shooting a 20 fpe spring gun that may shatter even the toughest $300 scope. The Webley Longbow nicely fits into this category of medium powered springers.
Since its release, I have drooled over it and I finally... (read more)

I've owned my Webley longbow for a few weeks now and have found it to be an excellent weapon. It is very accurate and easy to use. The only problem I have had is that the pellets I was recommended (ELEY WASPS .22) seem to need enormous effort to be pushed into the breech can anyone tell me why? or tell me what pellets to use? I've owned my Webley Longbow for a week and quite simply its by far the best air rifle I've shot. It really packs a mighty whack and if like me your not the meanest shot around the pure power of this rifle means whatever you hit will drop! If your looking for a new rifle this is the one! I have a Russian rifle which not only has more power than my Webley longbow, but is lighter and more accurate. it cost $75.00 vs $395.00. Though it does not have a walnut stock, the moving parts of the gun are made far better! (read more)

I recently acquired the Webley longbow and it is an impressive airgun! Metal finish is highly polished and deeply blued and the (walnut) stock is absolutely beautiful. Cocking effort is slightly more than I anticipated but that's the trade-off for a carbine-length barrel. The gun fires strongly with just a quick snap and not spring twang. Accuracy was below par at first and after talking with the previous owner and dis-assembling the gun for inspection I found that the factory spring... (read more)
