I have had this HP Deskjet 1220C in use for 3 years and for what I bought it for it is fine. It goes through a lot of cartridges (I guess they all do) now I am trying to use it to print digital photographs and the paper feed is hopeless manual feed is all OK the results, when you set it up for phot ...

My HP Deskjet 1220C will only except lightweight paper.

I have wasted so much photo paper trying to get this thing to print. Next time I will buy an Epson!

I have had an HP Deskjet 1220C for a bit less than a year. For the first 3-4 months I loved it. It will now print only on light weight paper, forget heavy photo paper, the rear manual feed never worked. It has now begun clattering and groaning with death sounds. It has not had heavy usage at all -- ...

HP Deskjet 1220C - Good price for a large format printer - the quality is good - especially on coated papers.... have found it totally reliable - the only downside being that the Adobe press-ready software it came with which enables postscript printing (very important for a graphic designer!) doesn' ...

I wouldn't buy one of these Hewlett Packard Deskjet 1220C Inkjet Printer if you held a gun to my head. This has been the most unreliable piece of equipment I have ever used. The drivers fail occasionaly during a print job. It doesn't interface with Adobe acrobat reader very well. I had to send it ou ...

As a graphic designer running my own buisiness from home I needed a top quality printer. At the time this Hewlett Packard Deskjet 1220C inkjet printer cost me £250!! Daylight robbery if you ask me!! I now have a £35 printer that copes better with my needs. I can't even print photos on i ...

Got a bit fed up with two previous Epsons, the print heads always seem to get clogged. I just thought all modern printer had a decent quality output but the Hewlett Packard Deskjet 1220C has been a complete waste of money. I feel done! Whats the point of spending all that extra money for the cartrig ...

All in all, if its normal paper, I only have the occasional hick up. But it's that 15 minutes trying to print out a single envelope that makes me want to beat it up. Rear feed, I can see why some of the newer ones don't have them. Photo paper won't even pick up any more.

    If the printer's pickups ...

We recently purchased the Hewlett Packard Deskjet 1220c for our office. Up until then we were using a great epson wide format printer. This HP piece of junk doesn't even compare. Sure it works fine if you plan on using it with plain paper, but if you want to do photo prints on somewhat thick pape ...

I purchased a high-end printer because I hoped that I would be purchasing reliability and good after-sales service. How wrong I was! From day 1, the printer was erratic, and after numerous problems I returned it to HP within the guarantee period, hoping for a new printer in exchange. Instead, it was ...
