“low level scam”

After seeing an all inclusive holiday for sale with Jetline travel for £249 inc waterpark tickets we phoned to book, by the time they had added in booking fees, airport check in fees, luggage fees and flight change fees it had increased to £325 each but having compared that to other companies it was about the same but having the waterpark tickets gave them the edge so we booked having first mentioned it included the tickets. Should have been a trip of a lifetime - complete disaster from start to finish...booked on a flight via Chicago instead of direct flight to Seattle.... took double the time!!! “Jetline Travel. Nightmare! Do Not Use!!”

Whole booking was a catalogue of disasters. After being told that the holiday I wanted was available and taking my credit card details I was told that an email confirmation would be sent. This did not happen but I got a call saying the rooms were not available (had been assured they were) I had asked for 2 triple rooms and was was told yes they were avaialble and given a price then told it was 2 double for 3 people or I had to pay extra. I would never ever book with this company again, first of all asked for a quote they gave me the quote which seemed reasonable but I had to pay extra for the flights because all the seats on that plane had gone. “Deal of the day holidays / Jetline travel”

I’m in the same boat as you. I had also booked a holiday in Turkey via Holiday 4 U carrier in July for early Sep holiday. As soon as I paid my money on the phone to these Indian staff, I knew I had made a big mistake. I never received an e-mail confirmation and each staff I found charged a different charge for booking the holiday. I was even charged a ‘booking fee’ for my holiday, which was non existent with a different agent, on the same firm.

Anyway, their agent rang me to say that my holiday had been cancelled in Turkey due to the collapse of Holiday 4 U. He told me that he would give me refund except for the accommodation. I had booked both flight and hotel with them. He did try to offer alternative holidays, but they were far too expensive. I disputed the accommodation cancellation fee of £350 for 4 of us.

He told me that our holiday was not a package holiday but a ‘tailor made’ holiday, so it does not qualify for full refund, which I disputed, as payments went to Jetline. They cleverly made two withdrawals from my account, to show separate transaction. But both payments went to Jetline, and it was never explained to me. I had to chase several times for the flight refund before I managed to get my money. They told me that they had paid the hotel in advance, but how could they, when it wasn’t due to be occupied until 7 weeks time.

I then emailed the hotel we were supposed to be staying if Jetline Travel or their supplier Hotel Beds, had paid them. I got a reply back from the hotel stating they had not been paid, the holiday was cancelled. What a bunch of cheats and liars! I have a written a letter to them, as per ABTA rules. You have to send 2 letters and wait for several days, before ABTA investigates your complaint.

This firm should be closed down. Like you I’m not going to give up on £350.

Jetline travel umbrella company for deal of the day holidays and many other least heard of companies advertising on websites like icelolly.com. Like all other reviews on here i have only the same to report,all bad im afraid. I only wish i visited this site two days ago then they would not have had the pleasure of ripping my friend off. Only booked our holiday to Kos on Monday to fly the 31st of August. Found the deal on teletext, rang up all seemed ok and booked straight away without reading any reviews (foolish in hind sight i know) They gave me reference numbers for flights, hotel n transfers n told me the documents are on their way. After all the stress my holiday worked out fine in the end. I literally had to scream/cry at some woman down the phone at jetline to recieve my confirmation and I double checked all the details and confirmed my booking with the hotel and the airline and it all went smoothly. Still would not recommend this company just because they are so unhelpful!!

saw an offer on icelolly website for turkey holiday in early Sept 2011. Spoke to them, they're all Indian staff with heavy accent. He charged me a 'booking fee' for booking my holiday 6 weeks in advance! I contacted the Indian agents several times, each time they refuse to cancel the cancellation charge. What they must have done is sub contract the hotel to a non ATOL body, so customers are not covered by ATOL protocol, only the flight is covered. My holiday was not a 'tailor made' holiday but a package holiday, I booked flight and hotel with them at the same time. This firm should be prosecuted and closed down!

sounds like normal practice for these people.
i saw holiday on line to Turkey for £277.(7 days) -booked it next morning! 20 minutes later called back flight not available but there is on but more expensive! stupidly on our part we went ahead!! recived flight documents same day by email with my husbands first name misspelt. this cost us £13 to change on line.
had to ring to get hotel and transfer documents expected them to be sent by email the same day
the holiday that should have cost us less than £55O has ended up a extra £200 with all the add on's by the way we are only allowed 1 case between the two of us

I feel your pain!! We go away with them this saturday and still have no holiday confirmation, i would not advise anyone to deal with this company- EVER! no one senior to talk to and very difficult staff to try and work with, its the same answer every time- someone will call you back or it will be with you tomorrow, customer service is awful, offices close early, and i would advise anyone who has paid for baggage and transfers to phone up their airline to confirm this has been added- we are currently having to pay for baggage a second time round, and i have read about many people having no transfers, STRESS is what you will gain from this company nothing else!!! added charges all the time, you would be better paying the extra money to go with thomas cook etc as the time you are finished with jetline travel your holiday will probably amount to more than a thomas cook holiday anyway- Never again!!!

Worst mistake we have ever made booking through this company , booked through them for Turkey in May , no transport to pick us up from airport ,no hotel room booked , sent to another hotel then moved back and around ,NO HELP WHATSOEVER ! from them , seriously out of pocket after repaying at Turkey again !! and STILL !! waiting to find out what and when they intend to refund us for the money we had to spend .That holiday (NIGHTMARE !!) we had through them had me in tears from day one , NEVER EVER !!! go near this company .

It seems like they are doing this to alot their customers and do not care about it! i rang up today to complain and i was on the phone for 50minutes and got nowhere with the supervisor who stated why didnt i book the holiday myself online if i was not happy. Jetline Travel split invoice and they are relying on this hoping you will go away. They will tell you to contact your travel insurance. Threaten them with small claims that normally works. Go to ABTA and ATOL as well.

They rarely sell packages as you know it and hope nothing goes wrong and hides behind the small print when it does

Hi there

Just wanted to comment that I had the exact same issue but that in their most recent letter, Jetline have confirmed that they WERE acting as tour operator on this holiday (but that they don't owe anything due to Force Majeure). Interesting to note that different customers are being given different answers...
I definitely think you should keep going with this.

I am not one to complain about things often and usually the kind of person who finds the positive in every situation....but Oh, My, God!!! Firstly, the budget price I began with mounted three times due to aditional fees for baggage, and for decent flight times. From start to finish this booking has been a nightmare. Customer Services is very poor. All operatives that I spoke to over the phone constantly struggled to understand what I was saying, and I had to repeat myself over and over again. a couple of years ago i booked a super holiday through jetsave in response to a press ad. It comprised a crossing on Q.E.2 to N. “never book with them”
