“Terrible customer service. ”

I purchased a new tom-tom sat nav on Saturday afternoon. I tried to use it on Sunday but it was broken, it would not connect for a signal. I returned it back to the Birmingham perry bar store first thing Monday morning and asked for a replacement. The manager was very very rude and point blank refused. I had the reciept, I had only had the thing for less than two days, but he refused. “Sales of Goods Act.....Not at Comet!”

I bought a camcorder from the Solihull branch and within 4 months it developed a fault! Easy I thought as it was under 6 months old I'm entitled to an exchange or refund as under the Sales of Goods Act it is deemed faulty at point of sale! I explained the above to Customer Services who insisted that no exchange or refund would be considered and it would have to be sent off for repair. You clearly have no understanding of how SOGA works. It is the retailer's right to decide whether a repair, refund or exchange is offered.

“Appalling aftercare, Rude, Dishonest”

Visited Braintree Freeport store to purchase 2 cameras. When they know a sale is on the cards they can't do enough for you, the salesman was very helpful explaining the differences of the various models. I bought a camera much more expensive than I normally would and agreed to pay for the extended warranty as he said if the camera developed any kind of fault they would swap it without any fuss. I can only agree. My colleague spoke to them after they failed to deliver in time and he said they were really rude. Then they gave me a new delivery time slot but I forget to give them a new contact number since I would not be available on that day. I called them again but never got to the point. The contempt in the voice of the call center person was unbearable. I told him so and he said he does not appreciate comments like that. "Comments", plural! Sounds like he is getting this frequently. Well, I hang up. I will never get involved with that lot again.

“Faulty Goods Policy”

At the end of last year we bought a Samsung TV from Comet. This set is for a guest bedroom and has hardly been used since then. Nonetheless, a month or so ago, we started having problems with the screen going dark. “extended waranty”

Bought De lONGHI edb475 st OVEN. Paid to have installed. Informed store old oven comming out was gas and new oven was electric. “CUSTOMER CARE - FORGET IT!”

I ordered a fridge online for next day delivery. I received a receipt and confirmation of delivery date and time. The item was not delivered within the timescales. “Comet are atrocious”

In the later part of last year my fridge started icing up at the back. It got worse and worse. Continually needed defrosting to remove the large sheet of ice from the back of the fridge. The final straw was when I realised it was "eating" a lot of electricity. I have a 5 year warranty. Called up Comet. i bought a washing machine with 5 years cover, i was told that i am only able to use 4 years of this cover even though i wasnt told at the time. Their excuse was that its still under manufacturer guarantee so i have to take it up with them! even though my servive plan date with COMET , that i paid for started last january! so i was rudly told i couldnt go in store to get it sorted and was instead given yet more premium rate numbers to ring, got an apppoint this week if i get told i have o wait 5 weeks for a part i will explode!

“Waste of journey”

“appalling after sales service ”

DO YOU KNOW THAT THE ONLY WAY TO CONTACT COMET IS A NATIONAL 'HELP LINE' AT A PREMIUM PHONE RATE!!!!! I refuse to use it....
