“Tv wall mount”

I would not recommend buying any tv wall mount from comet! We bought a large screen tv from comet and the sales assistant convinced us to buy a wall mount, which comet would fit! We explained our house was a new build and was assured that the wall mount would be suitable! After waiting eagerly for the delivery of the tv and wall mount, the chap who came had no idea we were due a wall mount as he had only brought the tv! “dont want to know if your item is faulty after leaving...”

Bought a Samsung TV but after 30 days the screen developed a fault, Comet manager at Preston store no help at all, was told to go away and ring the 0871 helpline, when I asked if I could leave the TV to be checked by someone was told it could be a month before it would looked at, paid a high bill to ring the comet helpline and was then put through to Samsung who were very helpful and sent an engineer out the next day to fit a new screen. In my opinion Comet is absolutely rubbish! I had a similar experience with a washing machine and was told it was not their problem!!! I find it unacceptable that for something you buy New that comes with manufacturing faults you are offered a repair. in my view if something needs a repair within this very little amount of time then it is not worth the money paid for and therefore a replacement or a refund should be offered to a customer. My washing machine was only used in four occasions ... lesson learnt ... never ever buy from comet- they are NOT good!!!

“fridge freezer”

I will never ever buy anything from comet again .my dads fridge freezer that was installed on 5th july stopped working on 20th august and it has to be repaired they can not exchange it as you can only exchange within 6 weeks of purchase according to them and it was 6 weeks and 3 days . Repair man came out ordered part and it has not arrived yet .I have phoned several times costing 10p per minute and it has never been less than 25mins.Complete waste of time. How they expect anyone in this day and age to do without i do not know my dad is 82 and cani even keep milk for his cuppa in this weather.RAGING.com

I totally sympathise...I bought a vacuum cleaner from Comet in Stoke-on-Trent, but only three months later, the motor blew, giving me an electric shock in the process...The staff at Comet were so rude and extremely arrogant. They said I had caused the motor to blow due to insufficient cleaning of the filter(which I had cleaned out just days beforehand!)Their attitude was disgusting, I have never ever experienced such shoddy customer service in my life! I put my foot down, and finally the bad mannered and thoroughly weird manager said he would get Panasonic to take a look at it! A month later, and i'm still waiting to hear from the store. PLEASE, PLEASE AVOID COMET AT ALL COSTS!!!! Just type Comet-bad customer service into Google and you will see exactly what I mean!

“Customer service - what customer service”

I went into Comets in Chelmsford yesterday to buy a TV combo. Firstly it took ages to actually find a member of staff and one only appeared after speaking to the manager (as it turned out). Maybe I'm being unreasonable, but if I'm in a shop trying to buy a television I don't think it's unfair to expect to be able to see the item in action. “Shocking Customer Service”

Shocking - Bought Product with extened warranty. Product failed twice in 18months and has currently been away for 5 weeks still no date for repair completion. Worst customer service I have EVER experienced. Manager said we don't work to a time scale on repairs but it will be repaired at some point. I have had two vile experiences from this company now where staff are very unhelpful and poorly trained and knew little about the services they offer also I found that the insurance you can take out with than as a scam to get more money from you. May i ask witch comet store you visited, The comet store i visit always has very well trained staff from Apple product professional, Windows Trained gold, Reps on a weekend from all major companies from Dyson, Vax, Microsoft, samsung and so on.

“waiting for parts”

Our stoves cooker was written off by comets insurance company and we were told we could pick a new one the following week,but after a phone call we were told the job had been done so what was the problem.We are now waiting again for the parts as they say they can now get hold of some so the cooker can be fixed?..5weeks we have been waiting and getting fobbed off by comets extended warranty...so beware!!!… Read Full Review
