Avoid. Clunky website. Half of order out of stock despite showing available on website. No opportunity to cancel the rest of the order.
I placed a one-off internet order on laredoute.co.uk. The site seemed very clunky, hard to navigate and counter-intuitive (especially compared to sites like boden, amazon etc) but I persevered as the childrens clothes looked so cute and different compared to the usual UK high street offerings.

I placed an order for a bag at La Redoute online using a voucher code that I found online. When I placed the order on 13th December the bag was supposedly in stock so I assumed that I would receive it in time for Christmas. La Redoute has shocking service, poor quality clothing, unhelpful policies that ensure you'll be frustrated with any dealings with them.
I tried to cancel my order when it hadn't even begun to be processed 3 days after I placed it. They refused to let me cancel my order and delivered it 2 weeks late whilst I was on holidays (left it with my neighbours despite me asking them not to deliver it in the first place). Unfortunately, my experience of la redoute had been abysmal. Having ordered my items, i discovered a discount code in the small print of he site to be entered upon checkout in order to receive 25% discount on my shopping. Naturally I wanted the discount, but in order to amend my booking, i needed a customer number to log in. I made an order as a first time customer with la redoute and saw afterwards that I'd overlooked putting in the code that would get me a discount and free return. I phoned and was told to wait till the order was processed and ring again and they would do the discount etc. manually. On a very regular basis from La Redoute I receive letters, brochures, and discount vouchers through the post. e.mail messages also arrive constantly.
I find these are useless without personal help with a query.
If they cannot provide this service then i shall not be ordering from them again. I would like them to take my name off their mailing list to save us both a lot of time and money… Read Full Review

I feel that UK Customer service is very poor. Searched for bedlinen all over internet. Found exact match on La Redoute France site. Strangely it seems that folk from just about every country in the world except the UK are able to order online from the French Site.
I wrote to La Redoute France [in French] and La Redoute UK about the problem. Received a prompt and courteous reply from France - received nothing from Redoute UK yet

La Redoute www.redoute.co.uk got my order wrong three times in a row, and weren't even apologetic after I spent over an hour on the phone having to sort it out. The phone calls ended up costing me nearly as much as the item they couldn't deliver, and their customer service rep then still tried to charge me for the redelivery of the item. I ordered 18 items from the kiddies range in the La Redoute sale. I ordered the items online. It took 5 days to process my order, by which time 16 items had sold out. I only found this out when I rang to find out where my order was. Goods still have not arrived, so I can't comment on the quality. I encountered La Redoute many years ago, and thought very little of the quality. I thought they may have changed, but if anything it's worse. I wish I had come to Review Centre before placing my order. I ordered 2 tunics and one pair of trousers (sale prices). 1 tunic was not in stock, but I have not been charged. I ordered two small items of children's clothing from la redoute - a pack of socks and a pair of Bermuda shorts.
What I received was two parcels, each charging £3.45 postage, when the actual postage, both for sending and returning would have been under £1.00 each way.
I don't want to hear the age old comment that La Redoute has to pay for the items returned, therefore the charge has to be £3.45, as I would willingly do that.

I love La Redoute! You can't fault the clothes, which are stylish and well-made, or the value for money. I've found the website easy to use, although it's a good idea to have the catalogue with you in case an item can't be found online. That way, you can just put in the catalogue number. Also, I like the numerous discounts offered, and the free gifts, and the possibility of having a 'try now, pay later' payment account.
