I had ordered several times a catalogue with no success only to receive a letter today that my application (for a catalogue!) had be declined. Of course, no reasons given. La Redoute www.redoute.co.uk got my order wrong three times in a row, and weren't even apologetic after I spent over an hour on the phone having to sort it out. The phone calls ended up costing me nearly as much as the item they couldn't deliver, and their customer service rep then still tried to charge me for the redelivery of the item. I ordered 18 items from the kiddies range in the La Redoute sale. I ordered the items online. It took 5 days to process my order, by which time 16 items had sold out. I only found this out when I rang to find out where my order was. Goods still have not arrived, so I can't comment on the quality. I encountered La Redoute many years ago, and thought very little of the quality. I thought they may have changed, but if anything it's worse. I wish I had come to Review Centre before placing my order. I ordered 2 tunics and one pair of trousers (sale prices). 1 tunic was not in stock, but I have not been charged. I ordered two small items of children's clothing from la redoute - a pack of socks and a pair of Bermuda shorts.
What I received was two parcels, each charging £3.45 postage, when the actual postage, both for sending and returning would have been under £1.00 each way.
I don't want to hear the age old comment that La Redoute has to pay for the items returned, therefore the charge has to be £3.45, as I would willingly do that.

I love La Redoute! You can't fault the clothes, which are stylish and well-made, or the value for money. I've found the website easy to use, although it's a good idea to have the catalogue with you in case an item can't be found online. That way, you can just put in the catalogue number. Also, I like the numerous discounts offered, and the free gifts, and the possibility of having a 'try now, pay later' payment account. I've ordered twice from La Redoute: the first time I ordered online and the delivery took 5 weeks although all the goods ordered appeared on the website as available for shipping within 24 hours... the second order I placed in September this year and I still haven't received anything: they sent the parcel to the wrong address and someone signed for it. LA Redoute- I'm not really a 'catalogue shopper', but I had tried 'Choice for You' catalogue on 2 previous occasions and they were good.
I thought i'd order 2 items on La Redoute. unfortunately it was a nightmare! After 2 weeks they decided one of the items was out of stock permanently, and the order took about a month and a half to arrive. It was left in the recycle bin outside my house!!!!!!!!!

I have been a customer at La Redoute for more than 3 years. The quality of the clothing is brilliant! The prices are reasonable too.
The delivery service could not be worse. I ordered a pair of tennis shoes in January 2005, and I only received them in mid-March, when I was told that the expected delivery time was within a week!

Placed an order with La Redoute via internet for £130.00 on 20th June 05. Received confirmation of placed order. Emailed them 13th July to find out where order had got to, had reply that someone would contact me, they never did. 18th July phoned them, explained everything, operator less than interested she just insisted I had not placed an order; I keep asking why then have I got confirmation of order in my hand, got nowhere, and gave up. La Redoute www.redoute.co.uk - We bought 2 lots of furniture - 6 wooden 'Cubes' and a pine bedbase.
3 of the six cubes arrived either damaged because the packaging had failed to protect them or they were very poorly made. We ordered 3 more.
La Redoute sent their courier to collect the rejects. He has a Nissan Micra. We waited a further week before DHL collected them.

La Redoute is French fashion at it's best. Just a little bit different from most popular UK catalogues.
As well as the normal clothes catalogue it has a catalogue for 'En plus' for the sizes over 16 and 'Tall Is Me' for the taller lady.
Prices are sometimes a little bit high but I usually wait for the Winter and Summer sales where you get as much as 60% off.
The service I have found to be very good and if I have had a querie about something or other it has been cleared up quickly.

I was given the wromg date of when my order was shipped, I felt the East Coast call center was rude, I've been waiting for my order for 15 days and it hasn't even shipped yet. 3 of the pieces I ordered aren't even in stock anymore. I have been using La-Redoute for a few years now & over-all have had a positive relationship with the company. I order via my account & then pay in full with a credit card & so have never had any billing problems. Some of the customer service peeps can be a little on the slow side but you get that with any company. I did feel that quality levels did dip last year (2003) but the stuff recently has been better.
