bought a corded lawn mower from ARGOS TAUNTON STORE, IN THE PAST CUSTOMERS COULD GO TO THERE BACK DOOR WITH THE CAR AND LOAD ANY HEAVY PURCHASE NO PROBLEM. “For kitchen appliances - shop elsewhere !”

Having recently moved house, we wanted to order a integrated fridge freezer, dishwasher and cooker hood. As we both work full time we had to pick a company that offered Saturday delivery, and were happy to pay a little more for that service. We found the items that we wanted on Argos's web site and before placing the order phoned them with the product numbers to check that we could indeed have a Saturday delivery. That is Argos all over, they are always making mistakes and cause chaos for the customers. Most of their staff are not very professional, it is all very hit and miss I'm afraid. Sorry to hear of your absolute nightmare hope you got your refund, if not, approach your bank for a refund and they will investigate this.
