My Numatic Henry doesn't stop working. I purchased a Dyson a few years ago;liked it's style and approach to the no bag thing. However it was always a complete pain, always blocking up, too fiddly, messy when you emptied the container, expensive to replace filters etc. Went back to to a Henry, use it ...

The Numatic Henry us awkward to use, base unit catches on things and tips easily, cleaner head drags badly on carpet, a very hard clean. I threw mine away even though in working order as I found it so unpleasant to use.

I LOVE MY HENRY! I have had him for 21 years now and he has NEVER gone wrong.
If you empty him often then the suction is always very good. I do not even use bags in mine and never have, I just empty the bucket! I have to admit that I have bought a Dyson in the past - because I wanted an upright, but ...

Henry is such good value for money, when I first owned him I had an old Edwardian house and he was great for heavy cleaning. I now tend to keep him for heavier type of work as I find in my modern house I use an upright. so I have retired him a little as I must have him 20 years!!!

My Numatic Henry keeps heating up and powers off - just bought it new in late March and its early September now! Powers off after its been on for 5-10 minutes. It's only about 6 months old. I am told by a repair person it is the heat sensor / someone else said - does not have heat sensor.
