The Capital One Classic Credit Card sounds like a good idea but you can soon learn that the opposite is true. Interest is really around 20% or more so your bill very soon increases even if you are trying hard to keep your bill down.

I have never been so annoyed with a company in my life. I foolishly applied for a capital one card and have had nothing but problems from late payment charges that were paid on time too customer service advisors that were rude and totally unhelpful. I am still having problems trying to close the acc ...

Do not, I say again, do not use capital one. In June of 2003 I transferred a balance to capital one at a FIXED-RATE of 6.99%. In March of 2004 I noticed the rate for the transfer portion of my balance had jumped from 6.99 to 10.99% with no notification. After reviewing previous statements I found ...

I recently applied to take care of £2000 balance transfer from another lender, but I was given an initial £200 credit limit, which would not be reviewed for 7 months, by which time the interest rate would be higher than my current lender. As the whole process took around a month, this w ...

First of all, if you require a credit card and have poor credit then by all means try the Capital One credit card. If you run into any financial difficulties, however, be prepared to pay extra for the delay in payments. They do use legal force and are reluctant to communicate through the telephone ...

Being disabled and un-able to work credit was always almost impossible to get. However after I applied and was given a Capital One card about 6 years ago, it made getting credit from other sources a lot easier, so for people like me its a god-send. The down side is the £18 yearly fee and the h ...

The Capital One Classic Card card is very easy to obtain, even if you have bad credit. They sting you with charges, the customer services are rude and have no clue.
This has happened a few times to me, where They never sent me a statement, but charged me £20.00 for late payment. I phoned th ...

    Avoid Capital One
The application forms state NO annual fees or NO membership fees. Shortly after receiving the card I get an item on the bill ($59.00 Annual Fee).
I call to tell them of their error and that I do not want a card with fees. They waive the fee. Some months later the $59.00 fee ap ...

Acceptance criteria on the CapitalOne Classic Card is rather lower than other cards so easier to obtain, balanced by a low credit limit. Major plus: online account management available. This is extremely convenient and allows you to keep a tight reign on your finances.

However, the web site, whi ...
