They delivered quite quickly but the delivery man did not seem very professional. The quality of their products is always good and the range is good but you often end up paying for the privilege of receiving a catalogue. Their customer service base appears to be overseas and I felt they were not listening to me when I explained my problem, it seemed they were just covering their own backs and refusing to admit any fault… Read Full Review

I ordered something from their website on the sunday night, promised delivery tuesday morning.
tuesday 8pm rang customer service and was told to ring back the next day as they are not allowed to contact the courier after 7pm?
rang the next morning and was told the courier was sick the day before and that it would be DEFINITELY delivered that day before 5pm...
rang them 7pm the next day and was told his car had broken down and it would not be delivered till the next day (2 days overdue) and it… Read Full Review

I felt that security on their website appeared to be poor and some of the staff seemed unhelpful to me.
I think the trousers are a terrible cut and the legs are too short for me, they don't always seem to offer smaller sizes in longer leg lengths. I feel that the clothes can be boring but ok for work.
I have only ordered from their website once and was very concerned by the apparent lack of security, i.e. no passwords. I then rang their customer services to query something and I thought they… Read Full Review

They have made a mistake with every order I have ever placed which results in me having to phone several times and explain that I have items included on delivery notes that weren't in the parcel. I mean items the website indicated as being in stock! Customer services don't seem to communicate with the goods despatch people. The latest mess; ordered 6 items all 'in stock'
3 items arrived, delivery note indicated all but 1 were in parcel. Delayed item turned up with another 3 days later. one item… Read Full Review

I use e-commerce sites a lot and www.next.co.uk is so far off the norm it presents major issues. Unlike every other site I use there is no password. Instead, the validation is based on info which is potentially public such as address and date of birth. This is a major worry and is symptomatic of how the business model of some websites differs considerably. I would recommend avoiding this site as I found it confusing, irritating and too far off the norm to be worth spending the time on… Read Full Review

I opened an online account with Next and placed an order which was accepted and delivery arranged for the following day. I waited in all day having taken a days leave from work. At 1 p.m. I called Next as the item had been arranged for delivery before 1p.m. and it had not arrived. I was told that it would be delivered at some point and they cannot guarantee a time only the day.
At 7.15 p.m having waited in all day I called Next and was told that my details had not been verified and that I… Read Full Review

Seriously consider whether you want to give your details to a company, who doesn't want to protect them. That is what passwords are for and why bank sites and credit card sites use them. The company doesn't not understand that dates of birth and addresses are really easy to get hold of… Read Full Review

I rang Next and ordered some curtains on line having made previous enquiries about their delivery. I was told on 2 occasions that delivery would be made the next day.
I duly waited in and finally rang at 7 p.m. only to be told they were sorry but that was not always the case despite their original assurances of next day delivery.
As a result I have been told that delivery may take place within the next couple of days.
My advice is don't ask for delivery to your door unless you are willing… Read Full Review

Stores are nice. Lingerie fits well, but cannot locate items on their list, phone contact centres saying the item a intimates bra which i wanted in plum colour doesn't exist, however I have seen them in the merryhill branch but not in my size and purchased two similar bras, when I provided these codes they also did not exist on their systems weird !!!!!… Read Full Review

I put an order in for a pair of womens size 6 boots and received my delivery on friday, only to open the box and discover that I'd been sent a pair of mens size 7 shoes! I phoned customer services that same day and was told that they were very sorry - the wrong order had been sent out but the correct order would be sent out on monday, and the other shoes would be collected. Monday came, I waited in all day, still no boots. I called customer service to be told that they were sorry, they didn't… Read Full Review

I recently opened an account with them, and I have never looked back!
I was never too keen on their stores. I found that nothing was ever in stock in my size (6 - 8 at Next), so I decided to request a directory so that I could order stuff. I didn't like the layout of their stores either, and I found everything really hard to find, so I stopped going in there.
The great thing about Next is that their delivery is super fast and guaranteed, which is great if you are in a rush for something. I… Read Full Review

Next Malmo Coffee Table fiasco:
Buying a coffee table should not be a difficult task, but I would now like to take the opportunity to share with you what I had to endure whilst using your service. Please note this account is told without any exaggeration on my part - once you have read it, that fact will be very difficult to believe!
Having searched high and low for a coffee table, I decided to go for a nice(if not over-priced) Malmo coffee table from Next. I actually saw it, not in your… Read Full Review

I have purchased items from Next Directory and Next for years. You get good value and good work/play clothes that don't fall apart. It may be a bit boring and bland in some areas but I like the clothes. I have bought some suede boots (knee high, different colours of brown) that I've not seen anywhere else. Also their sales are great, I nabbed several tops for £5, £8, etc., a fraction of their original price… Read Full Review

The Next website is easy to use. The new sale style searching is much improved, and they have a wider range of sizes than they have in the stores, but if you buy online, you have to have the Directory, which of course you have to pay for.
It is just as easy to go into your local Next store and order from their catalogue. You have to pay up front, but it saves carriage and £3.85 (up to) 4 times a year. They recently started charging for their Summer additional catalogue also… Read Full Review

It's 4 days before Christmas and I decide to buy my wife a couple of things from the Next website. Talk about bad idea!
I spend about an hour shopping on their site and find three items I wish to purchase. I then proceed to checkout and find an unreal hurdle ..... They want me to pay £3.50 for a book I don't want and open an account .... why??
I look for ways to get passed this but there isn't any. Bemused, I pick up the phone and speak to sales who were less than helpful really, or… Read Full Review

Next have sent my 19 year old son a totally unsolicited catalogue, followed by a totally unsolicited bill for the catalogue for £3.50. The bill states "Ordered Goods" Nov. 15, AW/04. Number M99999 D.
We have checked very carefully with our son, who incidentally either buys clothes through our Argos Additions Catalogue, or high street small retailers.
This is totally unacceptable, and probably contravenes the Trading Standards Sale of Goods Act.
We phoned the Company up and a telephone… Read Full Review

Next are one of the offline clothes shops I use most often but they also have a rather nifty website too. I can't say I'm a huge fan of shopping online for clothing because I'm a little on the fussy side (OK I'm enormously fussy!) and like to see the exact colour, fit, material etc. etc. before I'm happy! What I personally use the site for is if there is something I see in the store which isn't in my size but I like, then I can go online and order it. Perfect!
You on the other hand may be… Read Full Review
